If this is true I await the Coleman out thread early April...
Does anyone still not think it was a bit harsh to let mike Grady go ?,local talent ,young coach and would do the best for the club ,why didn’t we give him a chance until the end of the season

Heard a lot of good things about Mike but his time will come again somewhere else and he still has the European Championships coming with Spain. I do think we need a local connection on the staff to maybe get a link with the town again, amateur clubs etc, but it’s sport and he will know as well as anyone these things happen.
Any new coach, Allan, Stu or whoever it is does need 3 years in my opinion to completely change the culture of the club. I feel any trace of the Rule and Finney era needs to be gone no matter who they are, I think this is the reason the 6/7 coaches we had in so many years hasn’t worked.
Not everyone of them coaches can be that bad, the furniture that’s been here too long is for me what needs changing.
@relymynot I'm just hazarding a guess at what probably will happen..
Is the new Widnes gaffa
Swinton are next to bottom so I hope this is not the case
Please set your sights higher than this
Can’t believe this thread is on the second page and our win against Whitehaven only has thirteen comments!!! Not even mentioned as a rumour just straight out he’s our gaffa, yet in the League Express CH talks about Belshaw remaining as coach till the end of the season and no comment on speculation, we are working through the recruitment process, can’t get simpler than that. Swinton May have beaten Toulouse and Batley but only won four more and lost against Newcastle and Keighley and twelve others, if it’s anywhere near true, which I doubt it’s a defo step backwards👍
Even when we thrashed Swinton away they were a threat until an interception try settled it. In the circs I think it's a good appointment.
I am just enjoying we have found form again. Personally I would keep Belshaw to the end of the season. There will be more available at the end of the season, and why waste money now when Belshaw doing fine? Saving that little bit could help funds fir a decent player.
You could tell me Mr Blobby was going to be the next coach and I’d be happy that it wasn’t Stuart Littler at this stage!
if it is Allan Coleman then it’s quite a bold move for a potential coach who is ascending the ranks and frankly I’d welcome it along with guaranteeing him at least two full seasons to do a job. Though of course I expect nothing less than the same old fans to slate him on here before the ink is dry….
Well
Well you are doing the same thing if it does turn out to be Littler.Slating him before the ink is dry.You could tell me Mr Blobby was going to be the next coach and I’d be happy that it wasn’t Stuart Littler at this stage!

Confirmed now on Twitter.
will start work 1 October but be involved in signings for next year.
Recruitment has to be spot on. We haven’t got it right since we’ve been in the Championship.
Too often we sign players who aren’t remotely good enough.
Every week this year we’ve had wingers sat in the stand while we scrape around for props. That has to be addressed and is pointless talking about how good the coach is until it’s addressed.

Fair comment, though I’ve never before thought about not renewing my season ticket!
Fortunately, alls well that ends well tonight!
