Is the new Widnes gaffa
It appears you could be right.
Not one to get you excited…
Looks like he has done a considerable amount of groundwork with junior sides, learning his trade!
See what Spelly thinks!!!!!
He signed a new two year deal with Swinton last Sept, cant see that. Also they are in the relegation zone
This is an example of someone who has really over achieved with a club run on a shoe string, he has a lot of knowledge in the amateur and junior game which is handy for us and someone who deserves an opportunity, we was either going to end up with someone up and coming serving a chance or an assistant coach at a super league club and given most don’t want to leave these types of roles it was always likely to be an outcome like this
the guy plays some really good rugby and deserves a chance looking around the championship at current head coaches who have done well there are not many that have prior experience at a higher level with a different than what they are coaching at currently craig lindgard is a prime example of much rather go with a Coleman than another journey man
Certainly had his Swinton side fired up when they came here the other week, better choice than littler.
I have no idea whether he is getting the job or not but it would be harsh to judge him on Swinton being in the relegation zone. If anything they’ve done better than I would have expected this season.
Any bloke that can coach that squad to a win over Toulouse must have summet about him...
So we sack Kear for dropping us down the table and go for someone even lower down?
With probably a third of the budget we have he has beaten Batley away widnes away and tolouse at home think that’s a great effort with his resources available
To be fair to him, he won the League One Play-Offs last year so has got a bit of a track record.
Swinton played well here and I think he has done as well as anyone could realistically expect at Swinton- they may still stay up.
If he gets a solid Championship budget then hopefully he can do a job here and get us Top 6.
Does anyone still not think it was a bit harsh to let mike Grady go ?,local talent ,young coach and would do the best for the club ,why didn’t we give him a chance until the end of the season

Absolutely not!
The way it was reported he went with JK rather than being shown the door, so it's any bodies guess.
The club announcement was to appoint but leave Neil (?) Belshaw to the end of season and afterwards as the new appointee's assistant. This allows Neil to continue teaching locally.
There looks like quite a bit of coach swapping atm so you never know!!!
