Obviously got a good relationship with Finnegan.

We did need another back rower.

Last chance saloon for him.....

Had a lot of potential when he first broke into the team, seemed to go off the rails so I think the jury is definitely out until we see him in action. Hopefully he has got his head together and wants it, he could be a good back rower if his heart is in it.

Well we do not have much to risk here IMO. He had all the potential & hopefully he has matured somewhat. If he applies himself he could be devastating at this level. He is a big unit & will at the very least tire the opposition defensively. This could be a very shrewd signing. Welcome back Adam & good luck to you. Make the doubters on here eat their words!

The board said they were still looking for the right people with the right attitude before they signed anybody else.

How can this be a good decision. He has been unable to keep his place due to his attitude and lack of effort at every club he has played for.

This signing will not convince people to buy season tickets.

Well I'm willing to see what has to offer next season before writing him off completely. Not sure why you wouldn't wish him well.

Adam is an interesting item, batted around in both hemispheres, has about five years at best to prove himself. Just time to set the record straight, nobody doubts his ability, just his attitude/motivation.

Five years real effort and he could still be one of our 'stars' or another wasted talent. He has/had great hands, seems to respect Finnigan, could make a really destructive forward.

Take the opportunity lad!!!

Complete waste of time and effort. He’s built like a brick outhouse, but has a heart the size pea.

Couldn’t have put it better myself. Hope it works out with him.

Casting your mind back to his time in the Academy playing at Widnes RU ground, with Owens and Craven he was mindblowing. It came too easy due to his size and he forgot that he had to work at it. Hopefully he has grown up a bit and reuniting with old team mates does the trick.

If his Wikepedia weight of almost 20 stone is correct he might need to shed some timber!sounds like Big Jim before Vinty took him in hand!

He started off as 6 hence his excellent core skills, very few forwards posses the skills, Adam. Look at tries at Widnes, many involved side stepping and running 40 yards to score.

He made a bad mistake at 21 (the year he left Widnes) nobody is perfect, how many of you on here was flawless in their 20s. Yes, he needs to show more heart and commitment but at 27 he’s more mature and if Finagan thought he was a problem at Newcastle, he wouldn’t have signed him for Widnes.

Even if he plays 20 minutes, his skills and ability to score tries and open the game up, could be a real asset.

Still recall his try against Salford, with Dobson trying to keep up!

Was that the one where their trainer was on the pitch and had to make a quick getaway otherwise he would of been run over.

Judging by the amount and quality of players released by the super league clubs then signed by our rival clubs in the championship, I'm thinking we're going to struggle this season. Apart from our first choice spine I think our squad is weak. I don't our CEO has spent wisely at all.

The club probably don't know precisely what their budget will be yet. Now we know what the season's programme will look like ST sales might start and that would be another 'known' rather than a guess, but the progress of Covid and vaccinations could bend that a bit.

It will be interesting to see what changes SL clubs make knowing that they will have cuts in their pipeline. Hull have cut their reserves for instance.

Very true, but I thought that with the majority of our season ticket holders letting the club keep the money from last year, and the furlough system, that we would have been in a decent position to obtain a strong squad. Our backline is 'ok' but a couple of months into the season I think our pack is going to struggle with injuries. If we did get extra through season ticket sales over the next few months I doubt there will be many players left to sign.
