As of 10am this morning sales are just above 6,000 for today's game. Walk ups to come. It's looking good as the game gets closer.

Good to see the Club put out an offer of 20% off for the Barrow game with today's ticket stub. If you've down loaded to you're phone it might be best you don't delete it after entrance.

What an effort that was.

Who knows what would have happened if we took one of our two chances before their first try. Two try gap would have put huge pressure on them.

Got to capitalise on this, on and off the field

Fantastic effort from the team - unfortunate to concede that second half try where the dire winger was in front of the kicker

maybe should have taken a one pointer in the second half

but all in all a great performance where we played the better open rugby

thecgap between  SL and championship is not that vast

The Club, the Team & the Fans, deserve all the credit in the World for that spectacle. Wire had individuals in their side that get paid the whole of the budget our team cost, and today knew they were in a game that they didn't expect to have to play out. I suppose at 5pm we were offered a 10pts loss, we'd have took it. The fact that I left my seat absolutely gutted, makes me proud to be a supporter of Widnes Vikings RLFC.

Up the Chemical Vikings!

Widnes 'til I die.

Great performance and hopefully gives us much confidence to have a good 1895 Cup run and the playoffs again. A Wembley day out and this effort I really hope brings back old and new fans to the games. Alan Coleman and the club deserve the support. 😎

Fantastic game, best atmosphere, banter & crowd 7,011  for many a year to which the Warrington fans contributed their part. Good comeback from Widnes at the start of the second half including what could be our try of the season, (certainly the try of the game),  a sweeping move over 65 yards. Very little between the teams just the bounce of the ball today separated thecsides so a great advert for the Championship. Well done one & all. I just hope some of the extra Widnes fans of today  will now return for the remainder of the season.

I think the coach got the tactics spot on.  We were never going to beat them in the middles, although our pack was absolutely superb today against that huge Wire pack.  The backs were equally as outstanding and showed how dangerous we can be when we get the ball wide.  Fans frequently say we have no pace in the backs, but today we showed we could go around them many times.  Just a little bit better execution at times would have seen us in for a couple more tries, and two of their tries came from kicks where the bounce and flight of the ball just eluded our wingers.  But man for man we matched them for 70 minutes.  Super effort by all!

Echo all the sentiments for our lads effort.

An uncommitted supporter might have wondered which side had the internationals in it!!!

Fantastic game, I have really missed that kind of atmosphere. Also I loved the expansive style of play. I think we should try that in a Championship game as not only was it entertaining but it worked.

Well done to all at the club. From a council perspective, only having the middle 3 turnstiles open in the North Stand meaning fans had to queue all the way around Lowerhouse Lane. This caused a 5 min delay to kick off and meant Warrington fans entrance to the West Stand turnstiles was blocked with all the people queuing to gain entrance to the North Stand. 2nd point, handing out cans of beer for a Saturday night game against Warrington. I know it's the idiots that throw them at fault. But every other ground I've been to is plastic pint cups. They search bags etc but then give you a metal can of beer.

Both the 3 turnstiles issue and beer cans was pretty straightforward to forsee well in advance.  Do they hand out cans because they don't put on enough staff and open all the concourse bars so won't have time to poor the pints? An extra 4 turnstile operators for 2 hours and say 1,000 plastic pint cups to pour the cans into, are we talking about £300 ish in total?

In no way anything against the club and and didn't spoil my enjoyment.  But both issues could reflect badly on the club with the RFL even though outside of the clubs control.
