... the cost of the all singing all dancing new Sound System at our stadium.
The stadium costings are circulating on FB, and it doesn't make for pretty reading...
That price for the PA system has got to be wrong? £53k sounds a lot. It doesnt work anyway and the old one did.
Reform are clueless if they think they will win votes in this way. No one is going to take over the stadium and run as a stand alone entity while Widnes are in the Championship.
It may potentially open up Widnes to being more attractive for investment, taking the stadium off the council for nothing as part of a deal to take over the club. It could be viable in SL with bigger crowds and visiting fans from Saints, Warrington etc. Plus with a smart owner more events much as music and boxing/MMA.
What we would have to be careful of is a Salford situation of someone taking over the club with the promise of investment for SL and doing a deal with the council for £1 for the stadium for the land. It would have to have something in the contract that the stadium would remain.
It's not 'Our' stadium, it's the property of the HBC tax payers. Or is that what you implied? It wouldn't be so bad if it worked.

I was led to believe that they are upgrading the sound system for the use of the entertainment industry to make the sounds more appealing to the audience. Does that make sense!!
Whatever the sound prob, it won't be as bad, as at Heywood Road.
With my mates, I stand in "The Shed" which is facing the main stand, and we can hear SFA!
There's been minute's silences, and we're only aware of it happening, when the players line up, and the people opposite get to their feet.
Spelly.
