Watching the snooker on the iplayer, and (have noticed it before) there's no commentary at all in between frames.

It's similar with the SL on the red button.

There must be a reason for it, but it escapes me.

Any ideas please?

Thank you!

Spelly.

In the case of SL I think it’s because Sky haven’t enough presenters, so if there’s 2 or 3 matches on at the same time, the ones on the red button , the commentators want a rest at half time. So they have silence for the half time interval

I think it’s stupid having games on the red button . You can only watch one game and Sky haven’t got the technology to record a game on the red button, so if you’re out or watching another game , you have to miss the other match/ matches.

So Sky are lying when they keep saying, “You can watch every SL game live”

You can watch every game live you just need to select one as you cannot watch them all at the same time. Regarding recording you soon won't be able to record anything at all on either Sky or Virgin as everything will be streamed and you cannot record a stream. Anybody new to Sky or Virgin gets a streaming box with no facility to record the same goes for people changing packages so you are up the creek without a paddle.

They’re at it again tonight. At tea time they are showing last nights Saints match again on Sky Action and when it finishes they are showing it again on Sky Mix, but at the same time, they are showing the live Catalan match on the red button only, so if your not in, you can’t watch it.

Seems crazy to me, surely they would get better viewing figures for a live match, rather than a repeat.
