Stink

Have you noticed Widnes smells again? It used to stink like crunchie back in the day but, thankfully, the 90s happened.

So, what's changed? Why does it stink again? West Bank/Ditton Road honks.

Veolia? They fund a lot of HBC projects. Maybe there's a link there? Who knows?

I never noticed a time when it didn't reek TBH. I just thought my sense of smell had become immune to the pong. Speaking of which, is the Granox still emitting all of those lovely aromas or has it closed ?

It got renamed Saria a few years ago, doesn’t seem to smell much these days, the smells seem to come from Ditton Road now.

I've not noticed the Granox smell generally. However, I did walk from Pickering's Pasture to West Bank once and there was a sickening honk along that pathway.

The smell I was referring to is the big place on the corner of Ditton Road and the road up to the old bridge. There are always a trillion pigeons on the roof. It stinks. Hilariously, there is a sign across the road advertising building space for a 'restaurant' i.e. a fast food something.
