There are questions around loads of donations (Apparently a lot of Labour's union donations you have to opt out of and can be made hard to do by stewards, even though it's 2026!) and they've had well over £100m over the years.* Farage is an idiot, especially for his stance on RNLI but you can't in a civilised society change the laws after the fact. The more migrants come in, and placed in towns/villages the Reform vote will hold up. Still think it's going to be a complete mish mash at the next election.

It's a long time since I was in a union (USDAW) but at the time, opting out was not that difficult. I didn't obviously.

In the last 4 full years (2022-2025) Labour have had over £100m in donations. Absolutely 0 fuss about that obscene number from them, but now they want the rules changed because it doesn't suit?
It's hypocritical at best, dictatorial at worst.
I say this as a voter of neither, but hating 2 faced, 2 tiered bullshitters (Labour not you! 🙂 ).
I would argue that the £100m has come from countless Joe Publics contributing a few quid a month via their salaries, unlike the two mega donations that have hit Reform's account, and therefore it's (in my eyes) not hypocritical.
Two-tiered? Yes it's happened (still happening?) in the Labour Party, but I'd like to (idealistically?) think it's on the wane, and I'm delighted that you're not including me as a bullshitter! Thank you! 😆

I agree with Spelly. The outrage here is that the enormous sums coming into Reform are from a very small number of people with very deliberate objectives of buying favourable legislation to multiply their billions.
Its fair to say that Reform themselves have pretty much jumped straight to their tune trumpeting Crypto. It is not even trying to be hidden and its all being done with a sneer.
Labour have a couple of big donors, like Lord Sainsbury etc., but the donations are far more widespread and you could argue come more from across their membership
On the 25th of March 2026 the Rycroft report was released, the same day the Government issued a press release which explicitly stated that " the measures, outlined in detail in Parliament today, also include a ban on all cryptocurrency donations, which will prevent bad actors using untraceable means of influencing elections.
Critically, both of these measures will come into effect from today. The Government will amend the Representation of the People Bill to deliver these changes with retrospective effect. Once the legislation comes into force, political parties and regulated entities like candidates and MPs will then have 30 days to return any unlawful donations they may have received in the interim, after which enforcement action can be taken. "
All the parties, including Reform knew that the ban on donations occurred from that point once the legislation was passed and would be retrospectively applied, so did all the news media outlets and so called political journalists who are now talking about "sour grapes" etc etc.
I think whole thing has been a publicity stunt by Reform and its donors, who know full well their money will have to be returned and Reform can carry on down the "we are victims of the establishment " path
Meanwhile both Labour and the Conservatives are awash with dirty money from the Zionist lobby, the whole Labour Together movement was funded by zionists to get Corbyn out and a sympathetic Starmer in but they know how to play the game, the money is funnelled in to "British citizens" and the split out into smaller donations amongst activists or occasionally donated in a lump sum by the likes of Trevor Chin, and dont forget all the freebies and all expenses paid trips to Israel so our MP's can see how Israelis are terrorised by 10 year old boys throwing stones at tanks.

Danny Thommo is a clown. I can see what he is saying for a small part of his "campaign", but idiotically stupid to film himself slashing a boat.
However, he has pleaded not guilty (Crazy to me but hey ho), and is awaiting a trial. The PM then goes on national tele and calls him a racist/has racist views/whatever. How will he get a fair trial with comments like that? Then a couple of days later 5 men are arrested by CTP and he says people mustn't speculate. Exactly the same when it was the "far right" with the drone attack that never was that they quickly commented on.
Someone also got 2 years for throwing an empty plastic bottle and swearing at police (Again stupid and he should be punished) but loads of videos of people on other side of the divide masked up and throwing glass bottles, bricks etc. at police and nothing happens at all.
The government is absolutely pandering to one side at the moment and it's depressing. That's before we even get on to the absolute sh** show that is Angela Rayner.
Politics has never been more depressing, and in a masochistic way I think the upcoming budget will be humorous, in so much that if we don't laugh we'll cry.
Fifteen candidates today in the bid to replace Starmer in Westminster.
Looks like Polanski is our biggest rival, but it'll be interesting to see how near / far Reform are away come the declaration.
