World Cup

Who would you say are (if fit of course) absolute nailed-on certs to be in the England team for the opener against Samoa?

Just Lomax and Walmsley for me, with the remaining positions still up for grabs.

Welsby? Perhaps, but in what position? With his versatality would he be an ideal choice to to start on the bench?

Who'll be full back? Personally, I'd go for Tomkins.

Also how far can we go in the comp? I'll go in with my usual optimism, and realism in equal measures! 😀

Spelly.

We need to pick the form players not players living on names like Hall and Watkins. Lewis Dodd would have been nailed on but IMO we should replace one Widnesian with another and give Harry Smith the no 7 shirt.

Luke Thompson should be the other prop with Wamsley. Herbie Farnworth should be one centre and Elliott Whitehead in the back row.  I think we will get to the semi finals and predict a NZ v Aus final

I think there’s only three teams in it - Australia, New Zealand and Tonga and my money’s on NZ to win it.
