Great to have you back Spelly et al! Always enjoy a visit to your place!
Thank you for all the good wishes, and I've calmed down a bit now.
Am looking forward to the fixtures being announced, but I pretty confident that I can pencil in either a trip to your gaff or welcoming you on Good Friday!
My girlfriend says she'll come with me to Toulouse if we play 'em in the summer, but if it's early season, I'll only have to book one spot on the plane! 🤣
The World Cup now awaits, and as well as attending a shed load of games during the comp itself, I'll be at Pinksville on Friday for England v Fiji, and at our place on Saturday, when Wales host Lebanon.

We've signed Kenny Baker from you...........
Comments please.
Thank you.

We have signed on dual-reg for next season with the Saints.

He is a hard working grafter, spelly. A much better LF than prop which is where we played him last season. Can play the full 80 mins.
Opinion on this board seemed mixed when he left us - I would have liked to keep him as a LF - but I don't make these decisions...
Re: Kenny Baker. Always liked him Spelly. Decent hard working backrow who can put a shift in. Was gutted we let him go tbh . He will go well for your Lions mate . Good luck to him.
We have three pre-season friendlies lined up on 15/22/29 January.
The first is at home to Midlands, and the other two are "against Super League teams" so...........
I'm guessing they'll be the normal one with the Pinks, and the other with Saints, coz we've DRd with 'em.
I don't think anyone at the Lions is expecting an easy ride next term, coz we know it's gonna be tough back up there in the middle tier, but...........
Cautious optimism abounds, and anything better than third bottom will be a bonus!
Our opening league fixtures are Newcastle at home followed by Batley away, then we host the Raiders, before a trip (via Keswick) to 'Haven.
COME ON YOU LIONS!!!!!!

Hatton & Roberts have not made our first 17. How were they for you last season?
I thought Hatton was very good according to reports? Baker will do well for you & IMO is better than some of the ones we have retained.

Hatton's work rate is awesome! 101% every game, and I was sorry to see him go, and I'm surprised he's not in the seventeen.
Roberts won't let you down either..

Slight amendment - Teams are up to a maximum of six, at a fiver per player.
Robert Hicks is coming along, and will do a Q & A at half-time.
It should be a good night, even though yours truly is setting the questions!

Lions 44-10 Hurricanes at a nippy Heywood road this aft.
Comfortable win, with the result never in doubt.
Decent Rin out to blow the cobwebs off, with a goodly number of new faces on the park.
Two more friendlies yet, before the "real" season kicks in, with away games against Saints-iish next week, and then the Pinks in a fortnight!.

Albeit only against Rochdale Hatton did ok for his second half spell nothing spectacular but no mistakes & hexwas steady driving in. Max Roberts looked very useful on attack. He played the full second half & seems to have a burst of speed & took his try well beating two men with a step & swerve. He is not the biggest though & was not tested defensively yesterday.
How did the 3 ex vikings go for you yesterday?
