A couple of days ago I was channel-hopping and on the Sky Sports Action channel accidentally came across a programme called Super League Super Stars in which playing stars from the 70s were interviewed.
I watched two hour long shows; firstly Billy Boston, a humble likeable man, and then Alex Murphy, an arrogant but entertaining person, both interviewed by Brian Carney.
Tonight I watched Big Jim Mills talking to Terry O'Connor for 30 mins, seated on airchairs placed on the stadium pitch. Obviously Jim's Widnes playing career and stint as the club chairman featured at length, but the show is worth tracing and watching for Jim's opinion of the RFL and Robert Lindsey. Jim is a natural story-teller, well led and prompted by Terry.
It's worth while trying to find and record/watch this show.
