I see Salford got the begging bowl out and want an advance in 2025 payments. It raises questions over their submission to the IMG rating - if they need the money now does that mean they are solvent ?
similar in a way to wakey promises of ground improvements (now done) which dragged on years.
The same with Castleford, who keep saying they are getting a new ground every couple of years, with artists impressions of how it’s going to look, only for nothing to happen.
It seems by what we were told at the last fans meeting, that clubs can risk putting down what they want on their IMG forms, as they only check a few of them.
Just like Widnes had there's out in 2019.
Just like Widnes had there's out in 2019.

correct there Johnny but a massive difference - Widnes were skint and admitted, going into administration when in the championship and were deducted 12 points
salfraud have filled in their SL application as a solvent club, but now it seems not - maybe they should have gone into administration ?
the only club that really should have a real grievance is Toulouse, as if this information was filed in the SL application Toulouse would have finished in the top 12
Martyn Sadler in today's League Express says that if clubs vote against Salford receiving money up front then they could well go into administration which would leave the competition at 11 clubs and unable to fulfill the Sky contract.
And so many SL clubs are scraping the bottom of their barrel for money that makes them unable to help cash wise!!!
SL is killing itself with oversized staffing etc!
The sooner UK RL realises it is not popular enough for a full-time/professional set-up, the sooner it will become more comfortable with its place in the world.
RL could be a full time sport but not on the amounts being paid out now - either a smaller squad or less money but if certain sugar daddies keep shelling out to keep their clubs afloat it will not change.
the salary cap is a farce when you have marquee players - let’s do the football thing and allow only so much losses each season
