Cats v Leeds

What did you think of the ref ???

The game was a shambles with Child (and it seems most of the commentary team) favouring Leeds. It was a dirty game from the off and he should, and could, have sorted it by laying the law down about facials etc in the tackle.

If we can't expect better than that Heaven help the World Cup.

Only in RL would they appoint a Leeds based referee to officiate.

Other sports choose neutrals to avoid the perception of bias, but not our “leaders”

I got a distinct impression that Jon Wells is now the Leeds publicity manager! They signed Bentley from Saints for his nowtiness and he was the instigator of much of the bad play. Looks as if that is what Rohan Smith wants.

Could have been a good game with some discipline but, as ever, a youngster pays the price.

Ray French says in one of his books that in his day the forwards would be allowed a clout each, after which the ref, in back play, would say 'That's it you two, you've both had a go, now any more and your off!'

That usually stopped the rot!

Both Bentley and McIlorum were very lucky not to have been red-carded. The match officials didn't have control of the game.

Think what would have happened if the ref who yellow-carded Lawton had been in charge! Both sides would have ended up with "7 -a-side" teams.

Reff on the same flight as the Leeds party.Only in RL.Only a tin pot sport would have the officials travelling with a team they will be officiating.
