Wakey looked nailed on for a straight return to SL, but could Sheff turn 'em over in a one off under the arch? It's not out of the question.

I believe York fans were calling for Henderson's head again today, as they were last week against 'Haven. Will he still be in situ when they come to us in a fortnight?

I just feel Wakefield will run away with it all being full time and got the biggest spending power. I do not know how Sheffield do so well with their budget.

We've played Sheff twice this season, and they've deservedly won on both occasions.

They don't play the most spectacular football, but they do the basics very well, their defence is awesome, and they are well coached, but..................

Their crowds are pretty poor, so they can't have a massive bank balance, yet they continue to punch above their weight, and are a credit to the game.

I'll defo be supporting 'em at Wembley.

Spelly I take my hat off to them also mate. Punching well above there weight with that fan base. Fair play to the coach, and the club for doing a wonderful job. I want Sheffield to win, but I think it will be Wakefield. 👍

We're at Wakey on Sunday, and we'll be trying to put a halt in their promotion charge. I'm sure their fans will be singing Wembley songs, but.........

How many of 'em have jumped on the bandwagon? Which I'm sure we'll taunt them with!

Where were they last term when they were getting stuffed week in, week out?

Although, and..............

Selfishly I freely admit, I hope they're still top of the league when they come to ours, so they can boost our meagre bank balance!

Spelly ,

I have just read an article with Derek Beaumont and his opinion is that under the ISG system, Toulouse will be offered the position in SL next year with the possibility that Castleford will swap with them and the whole P&R being settled on ISG grading regardless of league position.

He was also moaning that if Toulouse are promoted,1/6th of SL money will be going to French clubs , but I can not follow his logic , because the same pot of money will go to the 12 SL clubs.

If he is correct, we could be playing Cas and Wakey next term.

With Wakey's new stand, they'll score IMG points there, and unless summat drastic happens, they'll top the table, which'll do 'em no harm. So a straight swap with "them darn sarf" still looks nailed on to me.

Toulouse for Cas? Far from out of the question, as Wheldon Road, is (trying to be polite here) not exactly an ultra-modern, state-of-the-arts stadium, and they're getting stuffed week in, week out.

So 16.67% of clubs in SL coming from across la Manche next term? It's a distinct possibility! But..................

You never know!

When is IMG's decision date?

Probably when the final positions are known.

As I may have mentioned, I was born in Whitehaven and my wife in Barrow, and we used to go to Whitehaven area every year

ror a break and take in a couple of matches. Unfortunately, Mrs G passed away at the end of last year , but my father's family was a west yorkshire man and we lived in west yorkshire for quite a lot of years. Our son still lives in between Leeds and Cas, and I visit regularly and take in a few west yorkshire fixtures and would like to see a strong west yorkshire presence, but I firmly believe that if ISG had not become involved, neither Cas or Wakey would have shown much enthusiasm to improve their spectator experience.

Next trip for me is Magic and I have treated myself to a hospitality package.

@spelly Promotion and relegation from/to SL will be determined by the IMG ratings. Clubs will be submitting data during September on which the grades will be determined. The final gradings will be announced on 23 October.

Based on the current gradings, this would probably mean promotion for Wakefield and relegation for London. It would be interesting if Hull finish bottom of the league, who are guaranteed a SL place with an A rating!!!

@spelly Forgot about Toulouse in SL and probably Castleford relegated. So potentially, Hull could finish bottom of the league and guaranteed a SL place, with Castleford and London above them, but relegated.

We seem to be putting up a good showing in the Championship. This is a competitive league and maybe we should just enjoy winning more games than we lose, playing decent rugby, and forget about SL.
