JJ failed his HIA, and didn't look too happy about it on returning to the dugout.
The Captain was an ankle injury
Gilly's was a groin.
Don't know about Hall
Lawton did have a dead leg.
Before the three injuries, we were 18-0 up and York couldn't get near us, yet some people are whinging week in, week out to get rid of them, they're shite etc. Well, what do you prefer, the first 20 mins or the last 60?

@pauliewalnuts We didn’t score a single point in the 2nd half he threw an interception off a tap restart give a drop off to a prop on the 5th tackle and then couldn’t tackle the York playing letting him go 50 meters up field oh and let’s not forget the balls he kicked dead for 7 tackles sets… but yeah he played alright!
Each to their own, that's the beauty of the Forum. Joey Lyons will be playing next week. Better suck it up as there are no other options. To blame him that we never scored a point in the 2nd half is ridiculous. It was every week under Dennis Betts, if you remember rightly? 7 tackle sets are inevitable in every game of RL, and he missed a tackle. No player is perfect, otherwise they'd be in a higher division, one thing with JL is, he won't go hiding.

And that’s the issue right there just happy with mediocrity. Joe Lyon’s wouldn’t start in any other championship team yet he plays for us week in week out season after season, I agree the loss isn’t all down to him however I can point out how poor he his in the halves and how little he creates I thought the two loose forwards offered more attacking go forward than him. But I will agree with you on one thing he will start next week and will probably start every other game we have and I’ll have to suck it up sadly as nothing will change anytime soon👍🏻
He didn't start for us until injuries, Patton and Gilmore did. So, you're not right, let's face it.
He was playing well today until Gilmore, Owens etc. went off.
The only thing you're right about is yes, he'll start next week, there is no-one else.
I think perhaps the worry with Lyons is that even with no other recognised half back on, it was seemingly Gregson and then Hall calling the shots from the halves.
We'll never know what might have happened from 18-0 had the three players remained on. I sensed York had plenty of gears in them, but Widnes were good for that first 20 mins (like they were good for probably 60 or so mins last week) so there is something there.
York struggled when we played at pace and using our instinct. Maizen is dynamite and we need to adapt our play to use him and Badrock and Butt.
With rush defences gaps are there behind the on coming defence line and we need to have a kicking game to use their pace to get through the line.
For two weeks now we have been hammering at a defence already numbered up, that is basically a non-starter with players of our limited strength.
At the end of the day it's a game of rugby and all that matters is results, every team has hard luck stories and iffy ref decisions to not score again in the second half is unacceptable. York always had more gears to go up if needed.
It would have been more interesting if we hadn't lost 3 players in the first half as against a quality side could we hold on? Fax last week was 16-0 this week was 18-0 so very similar. Without the previous results I would be more optimistic that we could have held on to win with all 17 players. The other thing we didn't just get beat in the 2nd half, it was 20 - 0 so pretty emphatic. We will have to write off as bad luck this time i think.
This is what the Club said on 29th MayThe DR announcement is all on Widnes I'm afraid. I don't know they feel the need to announce "on dual reg for the rest of the season" because it's meaningless. Dual reg means Warrington can do with him as they see fit, and that's what they've done the previous two weeks. All it does is rile up fans on our side. The announcement probably only came in the way it did to try and take away from the reality of losing a forward without actually replacing him with a player of our own.
“Widnes Vikings can confirm that Warrington Wolves forward Luke Thomas has returned to the club on dual registration for the remainder of the season.
As part of the dual registration agreement, he will be free to switch between the two clubs until the transfer deadline. He will need to have made 4 appearances for the Vikings by the deadline to continue with the club on dual registration.”
They didn’t just say Thomas was on dual registration til the end of the season. Obviously how useless it is having Warrington as a dual reg partner is another issue.

This team is crying out for forwards to get us up the pitch. In the mean time though it’d do no harm to maybe try something different like kicking early on in the tackle count to give us field position.
didn’t realise the relegation qualification had changed ?
I thought it bottom 2 down to be replaced by league1 winners and 11th placed team to play against the league 1 playoff winners for the final championship position.
Just had a look and all I can find is bottom 4 teams of championship play top 4 of league 1 - which would hint no automatic promotions from league 1 ?
I needed to chill out today after the game, I thought things were bad before the game but it just went from bad to worse. First 20 minutes we played well and although slightly fortunate we went ahead with an improved start against a good side. Then $H!7 happened and lost 3 key members of the squad to injury l, it was a foregone conclusion at that point.
I felt the lads on the field played with effort and determination but had no chance as York could rotate players and won the game comfortably.
I don’t see how the club brings in permanent replacements
A members meeting should be held with board and business partners to propose and discuss proposals for the future development of the club as a business

That's right - because they're reducing number of teams in Championship from 13 to 12.
(Although there's still talk of Championship and League One merging anyway)
@jdgsport Only 250 at the Crusaders Hurricanes. League one is write off
