Just can’t understand what’s wrong after half time break ? Really is so frustrating
Lack of resilience, lack of quality and questionable tactics: in addition to lack of size.
Come back the Chapelhows all is forgiven!
We need to sign a pack ready for next year or we won't have support!
34-20 FT, 22-0 Second Half. Surprise, Surprise....
It is not rocket science, we have a very small squad, started training late, light on forwards and our biggest earner hasn’t laced his boots up for 18 months which strangles recruitment.
next season team recruitment should already be underway
we can only hope there is a plan, Wilde coming back is a step in the right direction
onwards and upwards x
Pathetic. Again.
Another second half capitulation. Can’t understand what is going on, four unanswered tries again.😩😩
why cant we loan a few forwards, even youngsters with size

We just tire because we have not got enough props/ forwards in the 17. We played again without using at least 1 off the bench. In effect 2 players on the bench are not used so the players on the pitch tire & probably get despondent as this happens continually. You cannot put young wingers & centres in the pack & they are only in the 17 to make up the numbers. It is not the players fault nor the coach -it is not even his squad. The only signing he made if any was Lawton.
We need to ditch Jewitt & Cook for next year & get some resilient props & other forwards in. We could do worse than get the twins back if they want to come as at least they play & at this level would do us a job along with 1 other rough house prop. Farnworth is not big enough for prop IMO. He is more of a second row build. Tilleke is promising but still learning the game & we do not want to burn him out. Craven has had a poor season but again half backs rarely do much behind a beaten pack.

Its not rocket science we have a very poor coach and a team who doesn't give there all. a major clear out and a new coach may not win every game but at least effort would be there, then again this is Widnes contracts will be thrown around like confetti to non deserving causes.
Finnegan has learnt from the master hasn't he? Betts' half time team talks always brought out the worst in players, often not scoring in second halves. Finnegan has worked under him and seems Betts has had some influence on him.
Well said mick. But do you notice it’s the same problems all over again that we have had for the last 3 seasons with no pack . Fair enough we have tried this season but the ones we have signed look unfit and not interested I wouldn’t say the chaplehows are the answer as well. And as for are tactics there are none I don’t no what sort of rugby finnigan was talking about when he took over but all I can guess what he was going on about was clueless rugby. We need a complete overhaul or a rocket up there arses to sort them out.

some of what you say makes sense, but a coach can only use the players he has, he did not recruit them. As for effort and commitment there are a few that step up to the mark every week - Tyler,Grady, clough to name a few.
next season will be a defining season for finnegan, it will be his team and hopefully we can move on
The core of the pack was signed by the world's most experienced coach! Rather than fading SL forwards just looking for an easy-out into work we should be looking at hard Championship youngsters looking for a chance to show what they can do. Watching Saints I really cant see Amor busting a gut for us tbh.
Honest props would make a massive difference, as Clough does when fit. Cook and Hewitt should be paying us back tbh. Tomkins will need a full medical befor taking him for another year.
Sad to say Yorkshire seems to be much better off for props and we need to look hard nearer to home. Farnworth has been promising for long enough now, he needs to take the responsibility on or he will stagnate.
