@ditton-donkey I don’t know why we can’t agree a deal with saints as next door to us, better to have fringe players from saints than salford

It's because of the plastic pitch

After Kyle Amor became the 3rd (2nd prop) recruit of 2023 to leave the club, and now after the imminent return of Gilmore, we lose Craven 'til the end of the season, it bodes the question;

What is the ambition of the club for the rest of this season?

I know we have had a few loanees in, but our middles are heavily depleted, which will weaken the effect of TG, as he will get no (or less) protection, certainly nothing like he had at Batley, last year.

So, the Board of WVRLFC, it's over too you. Have you 'written off' this season at rd 11, or are there plans afoot for recruitment of 'grunt' up front? Us season ticket holders are growing short of patience, and I'm sure a lot will not be re-newing if this lack of squad strength continues.

So we are at rd16 tomorrow, on the back of some really poor performances, with only a couple of loanees in.

So as my original post, The Board of WVRLFC, it's over to you. What is the recruitment strategy in place for now & next year (we've announced nothing, other clubs have.) or are we letting Chris Hamilton run us like Oldham?

Are we attracting bigger, better sponsors? Because the revenue from the 'Longroom' and a Comedy Night will be raising next to nothing.

A concerned

Paulie xx

Have they decided who is going to be coach next year? If they haven't they need to soon. If it is left to drag on until September then we will end up with less choice or even worse a JK squad which a new coach may not like. Either decide it is JK next year now or move on.

There will be circa 2500 there today if we are lucky, surely that is impacting on the coffers? In that case playing better and winning more matches is the easiest way of getting an extra 500-1000 in per game. A half-back and a couple of good props would help with this.

Are the Amor/Evans wages being held back to cover some of the drop in crowds?
