sorry must have missed something here, apart from Nyzoungou who are the other 2 injury prone players ?

Earlier in the thread someone said we'd signed Kibula from Newcastle. He has been out all season with a snapped Achilles tendon. Started at Wire. It is only speculation.

The other is Amor, not injured but 35 next May .

He was excellent vs us a couple of seasons back when he played for Swinton.

Sounds like another gamble by the club if this is true however.

How can one snapped Achilles injury suggest Kibula would be injury prone? 🤣

Example: Ben Kavanagh, snapped his Achilles for us in SL went on to play for KR, Bradford and still playing for Fax

its one injury and that’s even IF we sign him

Nzongou must have the raw materials given the clubs he’s played for – though he will have to be substantially better than when I saw him play for Albi in the French Championship. As has been said, might not be too dissimilar to the Lawton situation – if Finnigan can get the best out of him on a consistent basis, then it might be a good one. Seems he was doing more than OK for Bradford before the injury.

Never heard of him to be honest the clubs he played for you refer to are Oldham Haven Swinton Doncaster. don’t get me wrong i hope he is a great signing for us but IMO he he is really been bigged up by some who probably know just as much as myself about him. We give the Chap twins a lot of grief but at his age they where both playing regular SL. My concern is the injury only time will tell but I thought signing injured players was a thing of the past with lessons learnt.

Students of the game know he has a great deal of potential

Who are these students ?

I’m guessing Primrose is one, would I be right Primrose ?

Nicely ignoring the fact he’s been on the books at St Helens, Melbourne and Hull.

Just like your good self bigged him up by not mentioning he played most of his games in the lower grade but that’s journalism eh. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levy_Nzoungou

Where did I big him up? I said he must have the raw materials to have been on the books at St Helens, Melbourne and Hull - or do you think they just signed him for a laugh?

I see that he has only scored 2 tries in 48 games; would have thought for more considering the number of C1 clubs he's played for.

Finnegan  will bring him on!

Amor has played 20 games for St Helens this season and we don’t want him?! Nonsense.

I said I would only risk signing 1 aged or injury prone prop not 3. I did not say anyone in particular but as we have signed 2 such props already I think it would be folly to sign Amor as well. It is common sense not nonsense. We have had our fingers burnt this year by doing this & are looking to do the same again!

amor signed again for saints so your wish has been granted

Amor has resigned for Saints.

The lad from Bradford seems to have all the credentials, but once again we are taking a massive gamble on signing an injured player and I hope that for his sake as well as ours he makes a full recovery and proves to be an outstanding signing.

Dupree, the lad fro Oldham seems to know his way to the try line and should be a good signing at championship level, that is, if the rumours are true.
