So HFH, West Bank and moorfield should have youth team visits from first team players from widnes turn up for a practice session, Kev Buck has done really well setting up the season tickets system for this. I believe also a widnes schools cup should be established with all teams playing at the stadium for the tournament. Getting local kids playing rugby league again is imperative for the future of our club. Local businesses could sponsor the tournament.
Could we not organise school trips to stadium see the boxes runabout on pitch
trophy display , weights room, insight into what goes on ,changing rooms , end up in shop give away a few free tickets makes a bit of interest for one morning
Would be good to know the clubs view on the new SL/Championship clubs feeder proposal and whether we’re in talks with any club (Hopefully not)

Unless you already know, could you as what’s going on in the West Stand with all the scaffolding and is the scoreboard not going to be working until it’s finished?
And when will the PA be fixed so people in the south stand can hear it?

The scaffold is up for an extensive paint job, don't know how long it will take. Then they will scaffold the North stand, which is a considerably bigger job. So goodness knows when that will be re-commissioned, and ready to open. The PA system is down to the Council to fix. It was working 45 mins before kick off at a recent home game, then packed up.

One to pass on again, I normally go to the games on my own these days as the 3 lads I used to go with have stopped coming. This week I took my 4 year old lad with me as he's just getting old enough to sit still, and invited my brother in law and his 11 year old, so 3 new fans. Really hot sunny day, went down BEFORE half time to get the kids some drinks, all soft drinks sold out only beer.
I've moaned about the pies frequently being sold out before half time, the cans of Coors being horrible so you cant enjoy a pie and a pint.
However this is worse, it was really hot for starters, you cant take drinks cans into the stadium. Pies you have to throw away I understand, but drinks bottles last for over 12 months. No excuses not to have enough. We also have another home game the 2nd week of the play offs. Comercially its about £2.50 to £3.00 a bottle as well so a license to print money in sales on a hot day. To run out before half time has even started is so poor, my lad told me he was thirsty 4 or 5 times in the 2nd half but he turned his nose up at the Coors!
I noticed the 40 or so Worky fans also sat in block C again not B, but as im a North Stand ticket holder its never caused an issue for me.
I'm in Block C and, yes, the Worky fans were sat there. The steward didn't even show up. The notes on the walls have had little to no effect.
There's been no John Smith's the last couple of games, the pies run out at HT as did the Coors.
To be honest, it's a poor show, I can understand people not bothering.
They didn’t have draught bitter in the bridge suite before the game (but cans of John Smiths) I’m wondering if they are changing suppliers and trying to run the stock down. That’s all I can think of as it’s poor that they ran out of different things
@dan1 Sorry to hear this. We need to capture these young 'uns with a decent matchday experience. I hope it's not put you off taking them to the play-off games. I will bring this up with SM & MR as it shouldn't be happening.
