@pauliewalnuts Appreciate you taking the time to find this information, but surely the club should be releasing news such as this.

Positive ticket offers should be shouted from the rooftops by the club and not released on a forum, by a fan.

@viking25 I was told by the Chairman, as he was putting the package together, and he said it was okay to spread the word on here, as they were having trouble getting the double ticket to link on the website. Dan the Social Media guy is off today (Wednesday), but the Club got him to get something 'out there' asap, but it wasn't done before I told this Forum.

In future, I'll keep my gob shut, to appease you, until the Club officially announce it.

Sorry for bothering

Paulie xx

@pauliewalnuts You’ve took it the wrong way.

You’re doing a great job providing answers for fans’ questions and it’s appreciated. Without you getting the answers it would be radio silence from the club.

My point was why aren’t the club promoting this deal? It’s a good deal and the first I’ve heard of it is on a forum, not on the clubs social media or homepage of the website- where they should be shouting about it

Apologies if original message came across in the wrong way.

@viking25 No apology required V25.

There was no point in the Club announcing the offer until the IT issue was/is sorted.

The offer is in the ticketing section, and I have requested it should be one of the news items, on opening the Website

@BEGG asked the question do WV still get the 10% return on whatever tickets we sell for our away games. I asked the Club earlier tonight and received this answer; "We do, but only when other clubs agree. This year we have only had Bradford willing to participate."

So basically, apart from Bradford, the other 11 teams see us and the Bulls as a Cash Cow, as they sell hardly any away tickets, so would lose out financially by doing so.

Another reason we need to get into SL. We are regarded as a pay day for the Clubs with no aspirations, in the Championship.

Thank you for asking and I thought it was the case mate, because I have not seen anything advertised selling at the club. We will probably take between 200 and 500 away fans depending on the game, and a lot of teams only bring 50 max looking at the South stand corner. I live in Andover and only choose the home games for my travels due to thinking this mate.👍

@pauliewalnuts

Going back to my early days (pre - motorway!) Leeds always sold big numbers of season tickets and charged 'walk ups' higher than most.

They still must have one of the biggest ST sales in the game. Just wonder how cheap the are?

It could be another option if we could count on big Widnes ST sales. It would be risky to gamble on our sales, no matter how cheap we made them !

Has the club looked into sponsorships for social media announcements like new signings, extensions, and every match day squad?

Other clubs do it in the championship i think

I'm not sure WeatesV. I'll ask, and if not' suggest they look at it. Every little helps.

@weatesviking  Yes it's on the official site under digital sponsorship. H/T and F/T score was sponsored by Widnes Market last season. Then they offer the 18/21 man squad announcement and MOM vote. Didnt sell any of them this season.

Would it be possible to house the away fans in the north stand next season.  The Wakey match last season and Halifax last week were tremendous atmospheres where fans were in the same stand.

On the back of the chairman's interview on radio Merseyside....he's indicated there's external investors on board in the SL bidding process ...so if that's so and if the bid is unsuccessful....what are the chances of these investors remaining on board and back a successful championship campaign...or is this investment purely and solely with SL in mind .

@pauliewalnuts Could the club find out about the stewarding levels in the South Stand compared to the North, myself and a few other regular season ticket holders in the North Stand have stopped attending due to the farce of a partial open North Stand. I was told that it's down to money which i understand and the cost of stewards. I have attended the odd game in the South stand and there seems be be stewards everywhere and certainly not pro rata with the North Stand. If this is indeed the case then surely the North Stand could be opened up more if the stewarding was equal between both stands.

I know it's not the club but they are the tenants and should be doing all in their power to give the fans a better matchday experience and then maybe the fans who are not attending will return and believe me there are quite a few.
