@geoffw Attendance was just over 2,400 Geoff.
You missed a good game, we looked a far better and organised side than last season. Hope your recovery goes well and you can resume watching soon.
Goole struggled but they looked to be a promising side - just not a big and strong enough team yet
Good to see us play more expansively than what we become used to, and I guess expected to see us take our foot off the gas once the game was well beyond doubt.
The team will be disappointed to concede those tries towards the end, but the two points are the main thing!
Scored some nice tries and was good to see.
Nice to see some different moves and on another day we would have got another 2/3 tries.
The try right at the end was the disappointing one for me as didn't mind the interception as much as we were looking for more tries in a dominating position.
Read elsewhere the attendance was 2461, not terrible- not great- hopefully more next weekend.
We do look a more well drilled team than other years but still switch of on occasion
think we could have easily scored 70 today which would help with crowds still feel we on a bit of a roll
let's hope for another win next week
He looked to be holding the back of his leg(Hamstring?) when he walked off
@cj91 Strange the attendance at the last 2 home games, there didn’t look to be 1,800 less people there than N Wales match.
I don't think we could have scored 70 with Mr Arnold as referee, thought he had a stinker of a game and certainly helped Goole's scoreline.
We played well in spells. London aside, there's not much going on in this division.
Abdull was great, Connell was good, the forwards were good, Fleming took his chances well. They had a rapid winger who caused some problems at the end otherwise they were fairly ordinary.
Expect a similar story next week.
I think Edge and McWhirter both went off with knocks. Hope they’re both ok as they’ve been in good form.
Surprised by attendance as North stand was pretty full less the closed end sections. South did look sparse though.
Today and vs Leeds seem consistent. 2,900 vs Leeds with about 500 Leeds fans in the South Stand. 2,400 today with about 25 Goole fans in the South. I sit in the North, did we really have an extra 1,600 fans vs North Wales making it 4,000?
If we have 1,800 season ticket holders thats about 600 home walk ups. Its a fairly tough gig for the club to attract fans to games vs teams like Goole and Midlands instead of Bradford and Featherstone.
I was talking to my mate and all we can do is keep winning at this level and keep to our budget. I was a little disappointed in the attendance but I think it was closer to 2500 than 2400, but that is basically our hard core fans. No Promotion and relegation has killed the game below Super league, and sport should always have promotion and relegation to excite fans. I have not been a game this year, but watch on the streams. I really hope the Halifax game is on in April because I can make that game and watching the games I see a great team work ethic and playing for each other. I believe Tim Holmes and Rolty doing a tremendous job and deserve our support.
It be sad if Mcwhirter and Edgy are injured, but as a bonus we do have a better squad this season, especially when have players like Jack Owens in the wings and Houghton or Bibby available in the forwards. We also have Wilde back in a few weeks, so all positive. Lets keep winning and I am sure we can push the 3000 fans aim on average. Is it worth tapping into Runcorn schools to get that little more support further a field. 😎 👍
Looking from south stand , the north had at least 3 full blocks , I'd estimate these at700 each making 2000+ in north alone , as has been said I don't think there were si many fewer for the last 2 games than for NWC
