Swinton Win.

York Win.

Barrow lose.

Keighley battered by Bradford.

Whitehaven losing in the first half.

London win to go above us.

We are 3 points above the relegation zone, albeit with the best Points Difference. Play Offs are 5 points off, a very remote possibility.

If this does not focus minds in the club, nothing else will!

The main issue I see is injuries, if we had a full squad I wouldn’t have much worry about relegation.

We’re down to the bare bones.

Flemming, Eckersley and Hatton didn’t travel, despite being named in the squad. Hatton in particular got a potential serious injury.

Owens pulled out in the warm up and will be out for a couple of weeks. Brooks felt his hamstring and Millar has another injury.

They're added to the injuries of Ince, Farnworth, Bent and Brown.

Only upside is Craven potentially being back next week.

We need a couple of wins ASAP, simple as that. Might not get one against Bradford though we should certainly still be targeting one. Keighley and Whitehaven are must win games, we are really up the creek if we lose those.

Some grim news there, Viking25. Hatton is a big loss with our prop shortage, do we know when Farnworth is expected to return?

Another three  wins for me should suffice and we have Newcastle and Keighley away as well as Whitehaven and York at home all bottom four that we should beat. However we said that about last months bottom four😀👍👍👍

Whitehaven losing 60-0 put a massive dent in their Points Difference too.

If we can beat Whitehaven and Newcastle, plus nick a win against York or Keighley we shouldn't have to worry, but this is Widnes!!

It all comes back to the question of why we can’t recruit on the same level of teams with lesser fan bases, I know people have mentioned the pitch but surely players in the modern game have to accept these things

They do, but imagine there will be cases of players with a couple of similar offers on the table and the pitch could be a deciding factor if they dislike it.

@mt how can we not compete with wages unless we are spending too much on 2-3 players in the current squad

Sorry, I’m not saying we can’t compete with wages, with the exception of clubs like Featherstone with wealthy backers. Merely suggesting that the pitch is probably part of the issue when it comes to recruiting. Some players don’t like it and there isn’t a lot we can do about that.

I see Barrow have signed Makin a Wigan prop forward on a months loan , unless it is the pitch,  but if it is, why let Eckersley come, don’t know why we couldn’t get Wigan to let him come here, much nearer for him to travel.

A player we could do with now even for a months loan until a new coach arrives. What annoys me is the board are not conversant enough with the fans and as I said before a once a month meeting with the fans, so we can be more understanding than slagging them off. Without the fans we don't have a club or team. The other thing is the club do not realise we are close to the relegation zone now and need to pick up results.

A task harder now Jordan Johnstone is off to Cas.

Hard to stand in the way of SL clubs, but madness.

We were down to 17 fit players for Toulouse and lost 2 to injury in that game.

Surely got to be players coming in this week. All eyes on the person who won’t be named

It’s fookin madness. It shows no ambition to even survive in the Championship let along get to the play offs.

Unless of course the club is on its arse. If that is the case there is much much worse to come…
