Squad for London

A very satisfactory start saying Owens, Spedding, Tyrer, Lawton & Grady all missing some of whom are key players. Our defence still perhaps a concern near our line. A good start but we have to remember London are going through a rebuilding phase & are not the team they were 2/3 years ago so we should not go over the top about this victory. Having said that 7 tries away from home is excellent & a great start for Ince on his return.

Wins a win, but I did expect us to be better than we were. London were awful.

We scored some nice tries, but we got up the field with their penalties and errors. Still concerned we’re not big enough. Fell away when Baker and Brown went off the field.

Ince scored soon good tries, but my pick was Lloyd Roby. Thought he looked really good.

Hopefully we improve as games to by.

I love it Ladies and Gentlemen the Passion is back for Pascal. I did say we be top 4 and still believe it as the squad has passion. 👍 Sunny Boy and Ditton Donkey I can see you two are loving it and fired up.

Just got back my mad French friend, great game, Roby took his chance very well, ince scored but only by the passes he was given ( offiah Darren wright if you recall)

davies and brown very impressive, London poor - will struggle I feel. Attendance given as 2K + nice atmosphere too

many more players to come in as well !

onwards and upwards

Can't remember anyone giving us any leeway because we were 'rebuilding!!' We need to tighten up as we go along, hopefully with some '1st choices' back on board.

Roby looking really good and competition for places is healthy. Hey I take a result like this away from home, even if they are a poor team. Only beat what is in front of you and we will also get better with other players coming back.

Yes, Roby scored one and I think given the last pass on three others, great game!

Finnegan mentioned in his after-match comments that Owens may miss a few matches - a great opportunity for Roby.

Watching Fev, looking good in the pack, as you would expect, but not fully polished yet.

Should be an interesting year tbh. Injuries are hitting more than us already!!!

Always good to get a win in first game of season, even better when its away from home. A fair few absentees from what I would think was a first choice matchday squad, so a bit more strength in depth than last season particularly! Wasn't there so can only comment on the highlights, which were OK if not outstanding! We seemed to move the ball well for our tries, even if we were rather slack for theirs. Its about getting the wins on the board and that didn't seem in any doubt! Looking forward to Sunday!

Even allowing for London not gelling we were impressive. Virtually none of the stupid mistakes which used to characterise us, although Craven when the red mist descended lost concentration yet again and made a couple of crass kicking errors. The forwards especially early on were awesome, with Baker and Davies outstanding. Doro performed well. Above all perhaps we showed that we not only have strength in depth but there is competition for every place to keep established players on their toes. When Fozard (is he left-handed?) learns to pass to the left we shall be even better. And when Finnegan gets a watch so he brings Joe on earlier than seven minutes from the end.

Loved the banter in London and talking to some London fans they loved the Widnes banter. They wish took that many fans away and loved the Passion. One guy said soon be Super dooper league. I said oh yeah Pascal loves it. 😂👍

Ok it’s only first game, but Finnegan seems to be off to a good start with a decent setup and players lasting a full 80 minutes!
