I would like to see a replay of the Baker tackle. It looked alright to me live. But I’ve seen a few people on social media including Widnes fans say it should have been a red!

Both players had feet on floor when he caught the ball. Baker hit his chest. No foul commited

@sunny

Yeah sorry, the lad is aged about 21/22....there were some articles about him being the youngest ref a few months ago.

Should also be noted that Farrell knocked the ball out of Fozards hands which produced their first try.. should of been given as a knock on and h n f to Widnes

Hard to not be a bit miffed with the official when there player was short of the line for another given try in the second half.. Davis went nuts at the official.

And Welham deserved Red for the chicken wing on Edge..ref let him sustain the pressure for 3 seconds before only showing him yellow.

I'm sure the ref was just as bad for both sides 🙄

Thanks for posting the screenshots BrenJM. Imo it’s not really clear where Baker makes contact for all the Sheffield player’s feet were on the floor. The Ben Jones Bishop “try” does look a cut and dried terrible decision from the officials though.

One thing we really do need to learn is how to play the match officials - we know how to play rugby but not the officials!

After last night’s performance do you think that Myler should be praised for doing just that, or banned for such disgusting behaviour?

Agreed ! What a poor end to what should have been a memorable game - for other reasons ! I noticed also that Myler's earlier use of his knees on a potential scorer's head wasn't picked up!

And so it goes on, at a higher level of course.

Disciplinary panel has agreed that Baker was incorrectly yellow carded.

That was a game changer and the referee got it wrong

Looking at SL with video refs watching slo mo videos and the number of bad calls tells you that either the refs genuinely don't understand the laws or we are all too old !!

For my money that 'try' given for Leeds simply wasn't grounded, but Childs gave it!

I’ll settle for being a grumpy  old man!

Refs are like the rest of us and make mistakes but the current crop of championship are definitely poor, making too many mistakes. So are the linesmen who should be supporting them to make decisions without the benefit of a replay.

If you're on about the incident where Chris Hill was binned, I've no sympathy at all for Hill. He's ''bent'' the rules for years playing for the dirty Wire so, what goes around comes around. It's all in the game playing the ref, Syd Hynes, Tommy Bishop, Alan Bishop, Alex Murphy etc., etc., the list goes on & on
