It’s one of those things, but I don’t understand having rules if you’re not going to apply them. What’s the point?

Hopefully the grounds improved over there, because the last time we went it was a disgrace. Not fit for purpose.

The previous ground was awful, but........

I got slated (by some) on the message-board, as we'd got stuffed, and was accused of over ripe fruits of the vine!

The toilets were just porta-loos, and the "stand" was little more than a tent!

But with the delays they've had (wasn't it due to open at at Easter?) to now say only 700 can attend for the grand opening, I repeat my "unprofessional" opinion.

Spelly.

At least we should be at home on the plastic pitch , I am sure I read somewhere that it was a 3 G surface.

It will be interesting to see how Premier try and talk up a great atmosphere with only 700 there.

Sheffield do not get great crowds anyway, so any impact on their pocket must be hard felt.

The point could well be that the powers-that-be realise it negates the power we have in our great travelling fans, limiting the numbers we can send, thus giving Sheffield an unfair advantage in the number of supporters on the day.

Rules, Logic and Fairness are not words the RFL understand.

Putting aside the shambles of allowing a club to stage a second tier professional RL match with a maximum capacity of just 700, this is one we really need to win. We can’t allow Sunday’s win to be a false dawn. Sheffield are nothing special and if we perform to that level again there’s no reason we can’t beat them.

You know as well as I do MT that plenty of teams who are nothing special beat Widnes. We are nothing special either.I wouldn't be at all surprised to see another veteran half back leading us a merry dance, in Thackeray.

I don’t disagree with you at all, Sinbad. We are on the same points as Sheffield for a reason. But after a good win like that the players should be on a high and doing their all to build some momentum.

So, what are we saying ? ‘House full’ sign up 3 hours before kick-off ? Thousands turned away at the gate ? Police re-enforcements called in to quell civil unrest and stop people storming the barricades ?

what are the odds that all 700 tickets aren’t sold ?

Exactly RV.Sheffield have always struggled to get 700 on a Sunday afternoon, nevermind a Monday night. And as I type Widnes haven't sold out their small allocation yet so hardly a stampede for tickets.A big kerfuffle over nothing.

Who fancies Pinkies this weekend in Sheffield ? Lots of hot women on the tap, but make sure you have some money. Love Pinkies after a win. 🥖🥖🥖👍😜

I remember Hunslet away in the playoffs about 1999 or 2000. A small capacity stadium and they refused to make it all ticket so the Widnes fans all turned up in large numbers  before the gates even opened leaving hundreds of Hunslet fans locked out.

Cant see many bothering with a Monday night trip over to Sheffield when it is on Premier Sports.
