I had terrible trouble with the on-line effort. As soon as I typed my email address it brought up what they wanted to sell me and no way to edit. Grandson was not a senior school pupil and no way to get the free one for our four year old grandson. £452 instead of £350. We ended up going down to see them at market as no one answered my emails👍

@alanC I eventually managed to order my North Stand Season Ticket but it needed perseverance. I had a similar problem of it freezing on continue. Eventually I was able to order it using a different device.

Let's hope the technical problems are due to high usage of the system. 🙂

When did I say it's more entertaining than watching Widnes? Unlike some, I like lots of sports, I watch lots of sports 'live', if you want to paint yourself into a corner by just watching Widnes, then go ahead and knock yourself out. There is no RL being played 'til next year, I'm watching 'live' sport most weeks, what are you doing?

I like watching different sports but only on tv, I would rather save my money to spend on my favourite sport and team. As I said I wouldn’t pay £95 to go and watch Amateur football, but if you want to, that’s fine, but I don’t think you can compare paying half as much to watch Runcorn Linnets with watching Widnes Vikings , and saying that Widnes should charge the same price.

I don’t know, but I would imagine Widnes pay a lot more out in players wages than Runcorn do, and pay more out in overheads.

Linnets is far from amateur football. It's semi-professional, just like Widnes are semi-professional. Linnets are probably more comparable to League 1 rugby league than Championship, but it shouldn't be completely dismissed as a comparison; nor should Widnes Wild, which truly is amateur ice hockey, but still provides an experience that some find better than the rugby.

You are presuming that everybody can afford to pay for STs upfront at this time of the current economic climate, maybe shift workers who may miss several Sunday games or may just have lost their jobs. In an ideal RL world, all fans will be buying a ST before next Wednesday's Early Bird deadline, but that won't be feasible for most. My regular purchase (2 adult, 1 child) is £452 before next Wednesday, then £492 afterwards. I can do it, but the bigger picture is that a lot can't. It's not all about me. Taking out the finance option means the club only get the monies off the Finance Company in the same way as they get Walk Up money, piece meal.

Fairly sure that how it works with the finance company is that they pay the full ST money to the club (minus their commission or whatever of course), and then any repayments you make go to the finance company.

That was why when admin happened in 2019, people still had to keep paying the finance company for their STs (even though Rule et al had ran off with the money received up front).

Called at market this afternoon and girls were saying we have sold just under 1500. Not a bad start and as it only goes up about  twenty pounds they are expecting to sell more for Xmas and new year 👍👍

It’s a great effort by our fans. I’m positive it was same last year and prob more that’s why it seemed strange reading that thread about support coming through the gate being so low.
