Well I won't be lining Percy's pockets.
Absolute waste of time.. no test for us at all. Will get absolutely pasted and probably pick up some injuries along the way..

I am not sure this is a good idea. It could cost us dearly if we pick up injuries especially if to our half backs or other key players. Playing teams in our league or below makes more sense to me.

Top fan dog eat dog I rather the money go to our club as I don't think Percy short of a penny. Personally a game too many because I think 2 friendlies is sufficient. If we have this game I think Saints should loan some players if we struggle this year with injuries. Glad some windmillers are back and I be banging my baguettes a lot this season. Spelly thinks that Swinton will also be playing a pre season game against the Saints. If so, their playing 2 games with part time Championship sides.
I agree with other posters on here that we should restrict ourselves to playing friendlies against teams in our own league. Not risking injuries when playing full time, bigger and better sides.
I think 2 friendlies would have been enough, but I don’t think saints will put a full side out against us. There’ll probably be plenty of subs and reserve players on the bench and a lot of their first team players will only play about 15-20 minutes. So hopefully less chance of any of our players getting injured.
Do Widnes get half the gate money in a testimonial?
Can't believe that any Saints players will be looking for an injury and maybe missing a trip down under!
