@anotherposter that’s a lot for a champ level club, but a lot better than 800
well hopefully we can keep bringing the debt down steadily and that puts it a bit more in perspective of why we are where we are
@jdgsport I don’t understand how the council allowed the previous owners to run up such a debt, then after administration we still owe outstanding debts but don’t qualify for the academy money
I wish the Council did more for the club like say 10% on all sales of beer, pies etc. This would help towards our budget for better players. If we was more competitive then the council and club would benefit with more turning up for games. I also think non attendance won't help our plight for signings next year, so it might be wise to help the club, especially with a new coach announced.🥖🥖🥖🥖👍 Oh I also hope a plan to replace VIQi too.
The local council don't give a fudge about the residents of Halton why would they give a fudge about a rugby league club.

Try going a couple of days past your council tax installment due date.Down like a ton of bricks for £120.
It’s simple, if the staff aren’t doing their job replace them with staff who are competent from top to bottom
It actually simple to say but as the past decade amply proves, it is extremely difficult to actually do.
What the club lacks (has for living memory lacked) is money. The people running the club do not have enough money to change the situation and the people out there who would have enough money are just not interested. We can’t survive at the level we are at with the resources we have at our disposal. Our slide down the slope is far from over.
With all due respect R-V, nobody knows what finances the club has at it's disposal. I'm sure if other folk wanted to 'buy-in' to WVRLFC, then I'd expect the board would welcome them with open arms. The signing of Amor is encouraging for 2023, who follows KA has to be 100% correct, as next season finishing position is critical. Any relegated teams to C1 this season, cannot qualify for the SL1/SL2 set up in 2024. We need to grind out a couple of more wins to secure safety. That's what 2022 has come down to.
Paulie xx
Isn't that 2024 SL set-up old news now? That was the plan pre-IMG, they're in charge of SL structure now.
@gpo1971 still going ahead apparently although you'd be forgiven for not knowing anything about it.
I would like to see it binned and I hope you are right but the Kear interview certainly suggests the club think it is going to happen or at the very least are preparing themselves in case it happens. Which is obviously better than not being prepared and getting caught out.
Whether it is coming or not- and who knows with RFL - we should be aiming to finish in a play-off position in 2023 and be competitive in the play-off (if there is one).
Why do we want it binned ? Scared of finishing bottom in the second division ?
