Someone told me that if you don’t want to pay the £80 for Premier Sports for a year, you can pay £8 for one match. Does anyone know if this is correct? It would be handy for the Newcastle away match, as I don’t think many fans will be going to that one, as it will be 1AM-2 AM before they get home.

@glynn 14.99 for a one month sub

Its a good deal for the two games you mention and a good option really at 14.99 for an away game you can't get too with the bonus of maybe another 3 games in that month as a neutral fan

Watched the game Monday, not up to sky standards, but the commentators are !

thought there were going to be highlights of every weekend game on - all we got was a very poor highlights from barrow v Sheffield - and what was on there should not worry us in any form

It's not really a deal for me as all I would watch would be the Rugby League, nothing else they do really interests me.  I may try the one-month deal if I can get the two games in the one month.

@glynn I don’t think you will Glynn, it’s 45 days between the 2 matches, that’s a month and a half.

If I read the article correctly, Channel 4 are also showing some live matches , starting on Feb 12th with Leeds v Warrington with the match starting at 12.30 pm.

Kevin Shinfield and Leon Price are to be the pundits. This can only be good for the game and Channel 4 say they "want to spread the word".

Sky are also again showing the french coverage of at least the opening couple of Catalan's home games.

I have also paid for a year of Premier Sport up front , probably not worth it as the RL is all they broadcast which interests me, but Mrs G has been unwell and I can not leave her long enough to travel for any games at the moment , but at least I am fairly well covered for RL on TV.

By the way, I got a message from SKY last week saying my contract was ready to renew and I could do this on line. I have broadband, land line and full tv package , so I decided to ring them. Even though it says it will be no cheaper by phoning them, I spoke to a very helpful young man who came up with a deal under which I am paying 20% less across the board for everything for the full 18 month contract.

Though I spent 30 minutes on the phone, which are lost forever , it was well worth the call.

@glynn I don’t think you will Glynn, it’s 45 days between the 2 matches, that’s a month and a half.

The offer arrives ahead of Premier Sports’ first Monday Night Rugby League programme, as Featherstone Rovers travel to York City Knights this evening at 7.45pm.

Widnes will feature on Monday Night Rugby League several times in the next few months, including our clash with Dewsbury Rams on 21 February, Barrow Raiders at home on 7 March, and the trip to Newcastle Thunder on 4 April.

All Summer Bash games will also be broadcast live on Premier Sports, after it was announced that we would face Barrow Raiders on Sunday 31 July.

@griffin1

Well done! I have a similar package and had a major internet problem that Sky progressed and sorted, along with reviewing my deal, improving it and costing less!!

Being of advanced age I can use their accessibility system where you have one contact and they do the job from thereon, excellent service.

I too, had a very annoying Internet problem and they sent me out the latest incarnation of their broadband hub and everything is now spot on and they also added the daily system check gratis.

If you don't ask, you don't get. Mind you, I have been a constant customer for 21 years, but I like the service sky provide.

I just tried to book the advertised £80 deal but a flash came up saying "Discount not available."

Has anyone else had this problem, or can guide me into setting the deal up before tomorrows game?

Thanks
