The advertisement from the club around the town is very poor, for example if you drive into Warrington from whatever side u have a “ welcome to Warrington the home of the Warrington wolves” underneath surely the council and the club can agree on something like this? Can’t imagine it costs much and then all around the stadium lampposts wire have banners and stuff like that etc it’s nothing groundbreaking in term of advertising but certainly makes you notice it and again I can’t imagine that breaks the bank as it’s been there for years now. Widnes fail to advertise apart from on social media and even then it’s mostly dominated by twitter and the facebook doesn’t have as much update. They really need to up the game with advertising that Widnes rugby league is still in the town and wants the fans back. Get a load of QR codes around the town linking to club’s social media and ticket links because u never know who u might attract

The podcasts are really good and with living in the states I can’t make it to the games in person, I usually listen to radio merseyside but watched the York game on YouTube last weekend, I have mentioned on this forum not that long ago about the possibility of widnes doing it and linking it with the radio commentary. I personally would love to watch is every week and I would be happy to pay for the services

Steve tyrer as mentioned in the latest episode is now looking after the pathway, getting into Schools (junior & senior)and getting them involved with a widnes schools cup, played at the stadium could be a way to get more people invested into the club. The future of the club isn’t 55+ year olds it’s the youth of the town. Football has steadily overtook rugby league in the town.

Well i think Steve Tyrer will do an excellent job and football is exposed much more and has the razmataz to it and the money. If Widnes was as big as Wigan or Saints in Super league it could even up. Personally i love several sports and why cant people watch both. If you are no good at football you may be a very good rugby player, or more of an opportunity to earn some money extra at something you are decent at in a sport.

Listening to the Podcast we have 5 other clubs who spend more than us and Oldham double our wage bill. They are lucky to have a benefactor. So Bradford,Toulouse, York, Oldham and Featherstone are 5 clubs spending more than us so we have to find a way to generate more money to compete closer to them for players. WVIPS helps but I feel the club should try Easy Jet and Jaguar Land Rover to join forces even if a small share holdings.
