When we were in Super League Gilmore used to drive me absolutely crazy because he was so ineffective against those teams. However at this level, he is one of the best half backs in the Championship. I would have felt more comfortable with one year, given his age, but he was probably being offered two years elsewhere, so maybe we had to do it to keep him. Even though he is towards the end of his career, his game was never based on pace and if he stays injury free for the next two years, this signing could work well.

I was at Dewsbury v Rochdale last night and I thought Jack Hansen had a vey good game, but then so did Jamie Dallimore. Probably a decent addition and better creatively than Joe Lyons.
Assume Hanson will be playing 6, but I might be wrong - has he been playing scrum half for Rochdale ?
not that it makes much difference in open play but set scrums could be different as he won’t have as much space
Hansen was very good at Sheffield, in a Sheff team that was always challenging at the top.
he was also decent at fax last year before their unfortunate demise earlier this year.
think people criticise this one by just looking at him coming from Rochdale
