On paper one of the hardest games out of the way with a win......well played everyone now capitalise in the next two weeks at home!
The score flattered Oldham. We were much better in every dept. Gregson was my MOM, just shading it from Ryan Ince. Now for a nice, relaxing weekend, whilst everbody else is bashing each other up.

@7-vikingnomad Sambou was in the stand with about 10 of the squad who were either injured or didn't make the 18.
Sat behind the dugout, the elation, when Ince scored his second, and at the final hooter, from the interchanges & staff was a joy to behold. There appears to be a genuine 'togetherness' about the squad. I suppose as they've played together for the last couple of years, they have become 'Brothers in Arms'. The team spirit is at another level.

I'll be the first to admit I've not been a fan of gregson and have given him pelters on here but gotta be fair ...I thought he was outstanding last night and if he can consistently produce that level of performance I have no qualms about him playing ...thought chapelhow was good ...back 3 all very steady ...gilmore 2nd half ...gotta love a win over the "money boys"
Brilliant to get the Win over Oldham especially when they chuck money about like they do, we was solid yesterday brilliant cover tackles and looked like we was working hard for each other something we haven’t seen for a few years. Still room for improvement which is exciting as the season rolls on… hopefully in for a good year! We deserve it.

1,527 can't keep the big players on those crowds we took about 4/500 so they back down to a 1000 although how hard it is to get to that ground I'm not surprised!!
Looked like a great attendance by Widnes fans in the sheds yesterday which is really positive considering the disappointment of last year.
lets hope the team back up the support to help it grow continuously. Alan was very honest in his post match review saying the team haven’t shown the fans why they should be there in recent times so it’s their responsibility to back it up
Great to see Gregson having a top game lets hope he consistently does this for Widnes. Any player who puts the shirt on I want them to perform. Personally always wanted McWhirter at 13 but if Gregson plays great consistently then fair play to the guy. All we want as fans is the team winning and if players perform means more success and fans coming to the games.

Yeah will do with Sambou fit and a great position to be in mate. At least we know can rest players if carrying knocks and the squad depth will help us mate. Plus got players on loan and Benty and Lyons waiting for an opportunity.
