Well. Looking at the ins and outs I reckon
owens,ince,edge,Gardner,butt
lyons, gilmore
murray,fozzard,Reilly ?
langtree,lloyd
hopefully not gregson
harthill,Thomas,Bailey, plus one
I for one would like to see the 16 available Widnes players selected and then just one Warrington player to fill the bench.
I do not want to watch Warrington players coming and going.
I don't mind if it's a season long loan or whatever but this dual reg is nonsense. I understand most clubs at this level do it but I'm not a fan.
Not a very good game, but we are playing better than on Sunday
@pensioner thought leyland and Thomas were good and Lyons proved why he's not in team caught with ball too often but much improved from last couple of weeks and if Oldham have spent a fortune then they've wasted a lot of money
A draw was probably a fair result, both teams IMHO were average with each side having a couple of good players.
We looked more organised and had a good second half, Jack Owens played much better and Lloyd deserved the man of the match award.
Agree that Oldham have wasted money on the likes of Adam Lawton and Gil D, but their winger looked and played like Keiran Dixon - just the sort of player we are crying out for!
Can’t complain at that result unlucky not to win but I think a draw is a fair result, Oldham nothing special typical performance from the former Widnes lads. Lyons showed why he’s 2nd choice and thought Gilmore had a stinker, Lloyd and Owen’s played well. Still need a lot of improvement in the attacking side but defensively very strong today, a lot of bizarre calls from the match officials where was the obstruction in langtrees no try?
Officials bad both ways but that's the same most weeks these days as we say most weeks effort was great but no pace or spark if we could get a couple of those players this division is nothing to be afraid of but without , its just a slugfest for us
We should have won that my a mile, plenty of possession in their 25
and remember people on here calling for us to resign the dud
they should have kept in on the pitch longer - a total waste of space
The referee, typically, had to slow the game down to his pace also required time to listen to his earpiece for reports. Speeding up might have helped us but it was a typical non-SL pace. Dudson and Lawton hardly worked up a sweat. I seriously thought that Long might have got Adam stretching his legs!!!
Their line was offside for virtually the whole game and if they have had refs like this since they moved up its no wonder they are doing well!It was hardly Lyons fault that his marker was there almost before the pass!!!!
They have signed up out of age experience and on a sunny, hot day, could well fade out.
Oli Leyland looked like a good and lively worker and offered a good attacking option.
Leyland had a good game, hope we get to see more of him. Hartill looked decent as well, apart from one crazy run on his own 25 on the 6th tackle. Fair call Lloyd MOM, had a good game.
Attendance would have been really poor if they hadn't brought so many. There was probably as many of them as us.
IIRC isn't May the start of being able to approach players for next season?
Maybe waiting for that nod to sniff around!!!!
@sandgroper don't we also lose 2/3 players at that time last year Walker and Dixon so we need to sign 6 !!! lol
Didn't AC say that it would take possibly six years to gradually build a team? Doing that will cost us and we will have to be patient I guess!
@sandgroper the average age we buy our players it'll take longer than 6 years !! Surely you can only do that buying younger players
