Farnworth & Brookes back in  playing squad for JJ & Hatton (both head knocks).

Craven can play this week but misses Dewsbury cup tie.

So should be well strong enough to defeat Newcastle. We must not underestimate them though & play to best of our ability to start building up a big points difference which at present is only plus 9.

Owen needs to be in the 17 if he is fit enough.

Anything other than a win would be a disappointment.

I assume Brown will play a spell at hooker or Fozard will play the full 80...

Think farnworth is named to make 21 - still injured according to earlier info

tilleke may well make the 17

I’ll be pleasantly surprised if Farnworth plays. Inclined to agree with Ditton Donkey that he’s in the squad so we can name a full 21. Either way we should be able to beat Newcastle comfortably enough, they are one of the lesser sides in the competition.

Farnworth is recovering from illness.  He's now resumed full training but has been pencilled in for the Swinton game. I think he's been named to make the squad up to 21, but it would be a bonus if he is available.

I would be very surprised if Tilleke features, for me Bent in for Johnstone with Brown switching from loose forward to bench hooker and Lawton coming in for Hatton as a bench prop.

42-6 with 3250 in attendance. Joe Lyon’s man of the match

@martin I’d take that result. I have a feeling Lawton will be motm as he always seems to do well against the lesser teams

He didn't against the Amateurs recently! But does need a good game today to recover his confidence and reputation.

That team should be more than good enough today. Hoping to see a convincing win and no additional injuries.

John Kear rugby is boring.

They just got reduced to 12 men, had a full set on their line and takes the two.

Was fuming at that decision. And then when we ran the next one (against 13) we scored a try from it.

A truly dreadful game of rugby.

Pathetic tactics, pathetic rugby.

No wonder crowds are dropping week on week
