@royston-vasey

Vinty was way ahead of his time in many ways and his change to the shirts was simply to make the lads look 'bigger'!

That white V on a black shirt looked great imo!

Problem was SG the more they got washed the more they lost colour. By the time the season ended I thought they had an old duster on😂😂.         They were good though👍👍

Well it is 3 weeks today until Christmas, 2 shopping Saturdays for those who want to get things in person; very poor IMO from someone that at least one of the 2 kits are not on sale now.

Replica Shirts and Training Wear are probably the biggest income streams the club have apart from Season Tickets so I don’t really see why the 2022 range is not out now unless there is problems in production.

@jeffjonno Really poor by the club, they tell us even less than the old regime. Here a quote from 2019.

Since the takeover of the club in February, Widnes Vikings have always been transparent with supporters regarding any club information. It is imperative that we continue this with you moving forward, as we work together to rebuild our great club. However, the club can only be transparent with information that is correct and finalised.

An explaination of why no shirts is hardly a state secret. If they cannot do the simple things then who knows what else they cannot do ?

I was told at the shop last week that the delivery was delayed because of the shortage of drivers at the docks, but hopefully be here by next weekend.

Then why cannot the club tell people ?. Plenty asking the club on social media without any reply.

Surely the club has a picture of the shirt and/or sample. Why not publish photographs and take pre orders

They could hire a van and go to the docks and pick them up.

@richard-richard Not a case of grown men upset it’s a case of the only profitable revenue stream apart from season tickets not being used to its full capacity i see sarcasm on this forum is alive and kicking.

Has anyone seen the shelves in the shops?  Read the news?  Some lead times are taking longer than others.  The stuff I sell is made in the States and is normally on a lead-time of 1-3 months depending on the kit.  Now I'm looking at 6 months on most of it.  I've got one order that will not get to the customer till nearly a year after the order was placed.  It's not great, but this is the way of the world at the moment.

You would think the older ones on this forum would have a bit of patience,it's not like the new tops are never going to arrive.

It's a crazy world 🌎 🥴🙃

@richard-richard I see your point but as I’ve said it’s probably the most important time of the year for Rugby League Clubs trying to get much needed revenue into the club especially below Super League…A sale of 200-300 shirts at £30 to £45 a pop is nothing to be sniffed at and may just contribute to getting another player in before the start of the season.
