Well that has to be one of our best loan signings - tai from the dire, he will really help us in the centres - strong direct runner and good in defence

Who knows ? Maybe he picked up a knock or perhaps Warrington pulled him after that disaster last night and want to keep him injury free for their next game in order to make some changes.

Fleming and Roberts both scored tries and had decent games so Tai wasn’t needed in centres today to be fair

Strange decision to get a international centre on loan and not play him

What's strange to me is we are dual reg with Warrington, so we can play any of their players. That's been announced in pre-season. But when we select one, it's announced like it's a new signing. But even stranger, we announced Tai and then didn't play him.

I heard he was fit, but not picked for some other reason. Wonder if it was anything to do with not going to Vegas Have to wait and see if he plays at Batley. If he doesn’t it will be a 2 week loan with no appearances

James Gordon tweeted that Coleman said after the match that Owens could have played today and Ince and Bent could start next week. Also said he decided not to pick Tai(but didn’t say why) but it’s possible he could play next week.

Some of our worst losses last year were due to making too many changes at the same time. We need the basic team to remain if possible.

Unfortunately that is our problem we are basic no flair or pace surely if you have that available then you select it ?

You are right.

Patten may kick well but doesn't seem to add much to our attack; rarely seems to "take on" opponents and attempt to make a break, doesn't like being tackled!

Gilmore is our main playmaker, we don't need two of them and thus lose an attacker.

Well, rather a simplistic view but that's my take on the situation.

The reason Tai is not getting picked for Warrington is that he isn't meeting their standards for fitness, maybe AC saw that he isn't up to our standards either.

  • Not sure what games you’ve been watching but Patton is nearly involved in every try we score this season either through good slick passing ( yesterday he was shite) or good attacking kicks, our issue is we lack pace in key areas. And yesterdays performance and attacking issues was down to the fact hunslet was being allowed to be stood in our attacking line it was almost like watching a rugby union game, am sure towards the end the ref was only going back 5 meters
