Moving the York home game?

A couple of Championship clubs have already moved their home games on the weekend of May 15/16 to Monday May 17, which will enable them to welcome back fans.

I wonder if this is something the club might consider?

We are due to play York on May 16. Not sure they'd bring a load of away fans anyway, but surely better to get another game in where fans can attend if it is possible? York may well prefer to play us in front of no fans on a Sunday mind!

Pity it isn't the Bank Holiday Weekend, but I think it would make sense.

Would some players be unavailable due to work, who may otherwise be available on the Sunday?

That would be my only concern.

I wrote to the club asking them would they consider doing this over 4 weeks ago, but still haven’t had a reply.

Do Widnes have their safety certificate yet to hold fixtures once restrictions are lifted? Have Widnes confirmed capacity? I ask because Warrington announced this through Karl Kirkpatrick the other week when they informed fans about limiting season ticket sales.
