Don’t forget it’s Members Monday this Monday at7-00, admission is free by ticket.
It will be a good chance for those people on here, who don’t think the club are doing a good job, to go down and air their grievances to those in charge, instead of on here.
Pascal love to be their banging his baguettes. Disappointed as I live near London and will be working. Get some input mate and be good to know if looking for new investors, or the Council to give us at least a percentage of the sales of beer and food. Even 20% could help a little towards recruitment, because that our downfalll compared to some clubs. Enjoy the evening mate. 💪👌👍🍺
All me cynical but Whoever is going you better get ready for the phrase "recruitment is complete but we're actively looking should something come up"...n then nothing come up till we're crippled by injuries
I made a few notes from tonight, not much to be honest. Ste Roberts interviewed our Chairman Chris who stated our players (except our three WC players) are back for the first time tonight and are training three nights a week, Mon, Wed and Fri. There has been increased investment and we do not have as some believed a new backer, it’s all the old board. Match day experience MUST improve next season!!! Season ticket sales last season were 1500 plus 200 players families season tickets, this season we are at 1150 to date but expect to be higher as Xmas is our better buying time. The kit is nearly here👍 Good relationship with council and we are the anchor tenants and don’t chase us for money as all is paid on time AND no historical debts. Club is now in 15 primary schools and John Keir was the stand out candidate after interviewing all applicants. Players actually contacted club wanting to play for JK.
very positive discussions mainly around IMG but club striding for the highest in B group and aiming for higher A grade
if other players come available they will take them on board👍👍

So does this mean for instance Fleming will not be in our squad next season or have players been signed up but not yet announced? Was any thing said about that because if Fleming has gone with already having lost Roby our backs.squad is significantly weaker?
@geoffw they just said all that were being signed have been signed. Some were on two year contracts that’s why they haven’t been mentioned as yet.
If that's it and there no more new recruits then I'm even less optimistic of even a top 6 finish ...pray to God these boys gel but looks increasingly like groundhog day ...other clubs recruiting better and not handing contracts out to absolute dire players ....I'm even struggling to find an argument for getting in the top 8 tbh ...
@geoffw think that's matt fleming in the training pics tonight....far side blue shirt ..or looks like him aha.....also Ince and bent in pics so would suggest all 3 re signed
@martin It would seem that John Kear will have to come up with a Winston Churchill type "we will fight them on the beaches" type motivational attitude to try and get that 10% extra from the squad and create a real team attitude and desire to win at all costs.
If we can put together a few good performances and wins , and keep in or around the playoff positions, hopefully we can increase the footfall and create enough revenue for some signings in the last third of the season or before.
Even with our most recent financial problems , which the board seem to have negotiated well to give the club much more stability , I can not imagine there are six clubs currently in a better position than us to assemble a squad and reach the playoffs.
Fleming, Ince & Bent all signed on one year deals last year, so if they are still here for 2023, you would expect it would be announced that they've signed a new contract?
@viking-man I'm guessing there still to be announced...all 3 are definitely in the training pics ..highly unlikely they'd be there if they hadn't signed up again ..especially when as ye say there contracts would have run down by now

So why no announcement? Surely any excuse for an announcement will push season ticket sales.
@viking-man no idea mate were talking widnes here half the stuff they do makes no sense lol...not just them 3 either..there's aaron brown who isn't in the pics ..
There are pictures on Twitter that show Aaron Brown training last night.
@ringo-bells Would have binned Brown but like any new season starts with a clean slate.
