A very frustrating game, so much possession and so little reward. Thought we were going to be an expansive team not one man rugby, not easy watching this team this year. Thought Murray and Fozzards introduction was the pivotal to the game snd JJ defo MOM

I felt a defeat on the cards after the Doncaster game so will settle for the draw, even at home.

An odd game.

Probably lucky we’ve faced two poor teams these last two games. Haven’t been quite at it.

4 poor tries conceded. 2 intercepts, a try from a kick where Nisbet got completely done and Owens being out of position for their kick.

Shows, whilst improvement, we’re still a work in progress

The last 3 performances do leave some concerns however. We could be 3 losses on the bounce. I know it’s all if’s but’s and maybes. I thin the Bradford win was a good one to come back however the last 2 we got away with. The performances have not been convincing since losing to Fev.

I thought the break would be good for us but we now look short on numbers and players are tiring quickly

I couldn’t listen to the game but at 28-16 down I wasn’t sure how we would go, last few seasons it would have been a done deal but fortunately we were able to come back and get the point. Obviously missing Langtree

how did Dixon play

I thought we were disappointing for a lot of the game, giving them 3 tries, with 2 interceptions and a kick to the line, where there was no Widnes player there, don’t know where Owens was. But it was good to see them not giving up, as would have happened in previous years, and scoring 2 late tries to get the draw.
Whitehaven also realised the ref was weak, so held down quite a lot, and were often lying down in front of a Widnes player who was trying to play the ball, and slowing us down.

Not sure where this myth about no easy games in the Championship has come from but there are plenty of comfortable winning margins if you look back at the results.Perhaps it's a convenient excuse for close games involving Widnes.

Sorry sinbad, I think the championship this year - probably Wakefield apart will be very competitive as I said at season start.

the only indefinable comes from dual registration and loans

we are still a work in progress and exceptionally thin as our injuries have proved

we need to sign a couple of players on month long loans to fill in for langtree, reilly and gregson

Did anyone clearly see what happened in the incident leading to the tackle on one of their players being put on report?

I was surprised when, very near the end of the game with us attacking under their posts, and for consecutive tackles they were penalised for "shoulder charge crash tackles", the ref didn't use his yellow card.

Having penalised them in the first tackle, for them to commit the same foul in the next tackle I thought deserved more than another penalty, particularly as one of their players kicked the ball away so we couldn't take a quick tap.

@sunny Was really concerned with the tip tackle right in front of us. Never seen one as bad as that, that wasn't carded. Our player should have stayed down AND the knock on when their player knocked it down, scrum to them !!!!

Good result in the end considering the score at one point. Probably need to start utilising the dual and loan system while we have Langtree, Reilly, Field, Gregson, Flemming and Ince injured. Roby, Brooks and Walker into the team with possibly 2 other loan players. Any news when players back playing? On a positive I feel the coach is doing a great job, and if someone said at the start of the season we be 2nd after 8 games I would of taken it.

Take out (SL) Wakefield and we are top of the league. We've lost one game that we might have won as we led on 70 mins. The last 2 home games we have been ropey, yet still managed to wrestle 3 points from them. Yet reading this thread it appears the wheels have fell off and it's relegation here we come. You can't legislate for an 90m interception try, never mind 2 in the same game. But on a positive, we never gave the game up, and would probably have sneaked a 29-28 win had Murray not knocked in the last minute. If's, but's, and maybe's. but it would have been cruel on 'Haven had we won it. They played really well.

Was abit disappointed personally at the end of the game yesterday as I believed before kick off we would put on a strong performance. Was great to get the draw especially playing how we did, think that’s the best I’ve even seen haven play the ref allowed them to really slow the game and that seemed to have an effect on are attacking play. Listening to Coleman’s interview and the injury’s we have we did really well the get the draw, think it’s time tho to try get a few loans and dual reg’s in as we’re thin on numbers and could be the energy boost I think we need. Tough game in Toulouse but another one we should head in with confidence
