Like Doncaster, not an easy game, are there any? The 22 all draw in the testimonial game is proof of that.

Any thoughts? Will the rest recharge the batteries?

Their main danger is King the second rower. We must control him & stop his off loads. I expect us to win by 14 at least.

What about Roby - is he injured ? Or just out of favour, doubt he anywhere near selection - hope I am wrong because I think he a good player in a few backs positions

Roby gives us cover, I don’t see him getting a starting spot until injuries occur

Expect us to win this game even though be tough. No easy games in the Championship unless got a full-time squad like Wakefield. Funny how Whitehaven fans are confident of beating us.

@ratboy

Their confidence may be misplaced. We have won 6 against their 3; we have a much better scoring record, a vastly better defensive record, a points difference of approx 150, and our crowd behind our team.

Maybe they have nobbled the match officials......

Squad is Owens, Ince, Fleming, Edge, Dixon, Lyons, Gilmore, Field, Fozard, Brooks, LLoyd, Johnstone, Roberts, Bent, Wilde, Butt, Walker, Roby, Nisbet, Murray.

I doubt Fleming will be ready to play yet, Ince went off injured last game so Dixon could get a game. I would expect other than Kieran Dixon in for Ince it'll be the same team that beat Doncaster with Fozard, Brooks, Roberts and Bent on the bench, meaning Ant Walker at 18th.

Whitehaven have Hindmarsh the prop (I think) from Cas named in the squad, and a certain Will Evans who had a very brief spell with us.

It is not long ago they were  crying poverty & players were paid late. They have 3 Aussies in their squad this season so must be doing ok now? Perhaps someone has put money into the club?

In the friendly we played very ordinarily & snatched a draw at the last minute as they tired. I expect a Widnes win as previously stated but hope Walker is in our squad to make it easier. Without Langtree last time out v Doncaster we struggled at times.

Our game management has improved massively, plus our concentration in defence, but you can't relax against any side.
