Looking at the loose forwards to choose from its hard to choose 'the best'. What a choice to make from Dougie as a ball-playing second standoff to Vinty the great, a pack leader. who could offload with the very best. Those two and almost anything between!
I would go for Vinty, but there will be people who never saw him or Laughton play, so will vote for someone who they’ve seen play.
I saw both Laughton and Adams and opted for Mick at 13.But like Jim Mills said on twitter recently, the players left out of best teams are just as good as the ones in it.
That's true of course. The team is a mix where good players fit together, so its all guess work and opinion.
Vinty is my choice too, mainly for the difference that he made as a pack leader as mich as anything else. If the opposition were starting to get on top three massive ball n all tackles or three 'stop me if you can' drives and our pack was on top again.
I went for Dougie at 13 with Mick playing second row , where he started his career( not counting playing fullback in the A team)
