Ok so at halftime the need for a standoff never been more glaring we have no direction and little ability and just drive away tackle after tackle

Want to say ‘a wins a win’ after 1 win in 7 but that was the worst £10 I’ve ever spent!

Expected us to get away a bit after the first try of the 2nd half

lawton - liability

owens - not a stand off

Maizen - looks a potentially bad injury in game 2. Whose stepped under a ladder 😭

johnstone - overweight and not as impact as he was last year

Foz, McWhirter Langtree and Roberts the only bright sparks

don’t think gregson is any worse than anyone else out there. Fair play to the 50 or so who made the journey

God that was awful I think though on a brighter note we've broke world record for number of drop offs in a game !!!

Well a really crunchie game - we could and should have won that easily, London are a pub team and the ref was straight from the under 13s match

williams about to score in a one on one - nearly touches down , no try but high tackle given and Widnes penalty ?
lawton yellow card for high tackle when their player was going down under a great Widnes tackle

long road coming but will take the 2 points - really glad I watched the streaming instead of going

Absolutely awful, can't score enough points and look totally clueless.  For 2 teams combined that was honestly one of the worst games I've ever seen.

@dan1 it's that bad the outside backs have no confidence at all or get any ball even bringing craven back ( which I'm against) doesn't seem so awful never seen us so clueless and why so many inside balls when our pack never controls a game? Baffles me

The good part - we won.

The bad part - the rest of it.

Holding on for a two point win against a poor London side does not fill me with hope. A tough run of fixtures ahead and I’m bracing myself.

On a positive note, which I realise given that performance is difficult, I thought bennion played well

roberts ok, Murray too but not many others

Wow!!! What an absolute shambles 😡 Where to start???? Owens is never a HB, totally anonymous, Gilly was poor as was JJ, outside backs did OK. Forwards had some grunt but just ran straight lines except for Langtree try and as for Adam Lawton 😱 😱 😱

Two appalling teams, we get worse week by week.

Anyone know what was so ‘turbulent’ about the journey to london?

waiting for that to be an excuse for the performance

Sounds like our next stand off might be Roberts!!!

At least he runs good lines!

Again, we can see why Oldham want to cut their costs!!!!

The other problem which makes no sense is we start with gregson a ball playing ( a stretch I know) 13 and then we moan when we can't control a game in the forwards ? So either play an extra prop eg Thomas who did big minutes which might help us control game I mean even today when we controlled game we didn't look like scoring we look terrified more afraid to lose than playing to win !! I'm sick of Coleman's in the grind motto

I wonder just why we would bother with Lawton again. We know he could be a match winner 'if....' but we also know that he can be a match loser, presumably as Oldham have discovered.

With Maizen presumably in the stand for some time we are back to zero again.

@scouseviking55 Got stuck in traffic between the hotel and the ground.

Really poor performance, but the main and only thing that matters is the win. Hopefully he decides on a team for going forward and they can use the two weeks to work on combinations. We’re playing a different team each week.

Thomas and Lawton were good off the bench.
