It's all well and good letting players leave, but if we are to progress we need to replace departing players with better quality players. Otherwise, we will be in the same position this time next year, or worse. I am not sure that getting in six players from Swinton, as mentioned on here, will improve the quality of the squad.
I would like to see Fozard stay and unless we can bring in better players Lawton, Farnworth, Wilde, Field, Gilmore, Brookes, Dixon and Edge. Same with other players in the current squad, don't let them leave only to bring in inferior (or maybe just cheaper) replacements.
Maybe we are just a mid-table Championship team, playing for no more than a play-off spot, with little hope of challenging those clubs who have local investment to play full-time and/or bring in a few quality players to improve the squad.
Sorry, I would also keep Dixon
getting swinton lions players..30p each...just about afford it...we will have to be like a premier league club clinging to staying in the championship..
But if our better players are happy to stay in the Championship or even drop to League 1 they maybe see the clubs success as a threat to their place and lifestyle!
If we got promoted they would be replaced by SL quality players or become full timers!
You never know how our new ambitious coach sees things in the long term. He may want players that he knows and that are eager for success to give him support in his new job.
There have been many posts on here about the way that the club has been managed internally over the years and that may have some bearing on the seemingly big change in the way we are moving atm.
Let’s wait and see what signings we make, at the moment not overly impressed with the names mentioned, we need a quality 6 hopefully a young Aussie on his way up

Most of the lads who are leaving aren’t wanted by Coleman. I 100% believe that most want to stay but are being pushed out to make way for Coleman’s signings. The pool of part time players in the ‘commutable’ region is pretty small though. He’s bringing in the Swinton lads I’ve mentioned, Sam Brooks and I’ve also heard Owain Abel from North Wales Crusaders (was told by a crusaders player). Coleman has close ties with Leigh Miners so we may get some amateur players from Leigh miners stepping up. I don’t know who else yet.

That sounds positive 😂🤔🥖🥖

We will never win promotion back to super league with a squad full of players happy to be PT
Big changes ahead, maybe not received very well by supporters, will have to wait to see which rumours come through. 🤔
You could have ended your post after the words Super League. We will never win promotion back to super league with a squad full of players happy to be PT
@toeknee-myler I wouldn't want to keep Farnworth on our retained list unless he gets himself a lot fitter.
