Dual reg no longer exists but you can now get someone on a 1 week loan rather than 2 week. Hayes won the game for Salford one week and playing for us the next.
Now officially announced by Widnes, but no mention of him providing injury cover..... the plot thickens. Good signing, the only problem being as its week by week, scrum half is the worst position if Warrington get a couple of injuries. These weekly loans are better for props or 2nd rows who can slot in and out rather than being the main playmaker/organiser.
@dan1 True, but wire have 6 HBs as Leyland is fit again and their strategy seems to be to put Hayes and Leyland out on loan while Williams/Sneyd and Ewan Irwin cover the 1st team with Tommy Rhodes and Irwin playing reserves. So, hopefully it may be that they won't rush to recall Hayes just to cover the reserves in the case of an injury or 2, they might feel he will develop better getting regular game time in the Championship.
Williams injured and needing neck surgery so probably put for the season at Wire. Apparently Hayes above Leyland in the pecking order there so maybe a recall imminent. Either way we shouldn’t be in the situation where we are planning on loan players to determine our season, but here we are.
In Williams' abscence, Irwin & Sneyd will always play before Leon Hayes.
Worry about a recall when it happens.
Paulie xx
Apart from an interception that was dropped , he was very good today , especially goal kicks, knocked some over from the touchline
Burgess interview with love rugby league seems to think hayes will be recalled in next couple of weeks to rest irwin
so we need to make a decision on getting our own half back or sorting the abdull problem
Oldham apparently not been paid Riley dean will do
See Taylor out on loan again - I thought he played well at dewsbury, but if Fleming is fit this week no place for him
