Journeyman is a little harsh - he’s only had three clubs in his whole career. Played nearly 200 games for Oldham, then 3 on dual-reg at Doncaster after taking a shot at going full time with Hull. Then been a regular at Barrow past two seasons.
He would of course be in Chris Hamilton's phone book and is from St Helens, so it's plausible.
He is having shoulder surgery in January though...
