Is there apathy on this board now?

There is a home game on Sunday against Whitehaven & for the first time that I can remember there have been no posts made today about the upcoming game and the squad that has been selected.  I hope last weeks poor  result has not taken too much of a toll on supporters. Smith & Grady are back in the squad but Craven is out  with his hand injury.  I am sure we will return to winning ways on Sunday & hopefully in the best conditions of the season so far.

There are posts about the squad on another thread, but the results (and performances) against London and Dewsbury will undoubtedly have an impact on attendances.

We should win against Whitehaven, but they did give London a good game and we made London look like world beaters. Hopefully a good win and an even better performance on Sunday will improve the outlook for the rest of the season. It will be interesting to see how much the poor performance against Dewsbury will impact on the attendance on Sunday.

Interesting comments from Sheens, recognising the need for more beef up front, but biding his time on signings. He obviously thinks highly of Baker and is of the opinion that there are players in in the reserves, such as Joe Edge, who will be brought into the team.

Despite the result against Dewsbury, I still believe the squad with some additions through DR, loans and/or signings is good enough for a top 5 finish thix year.

Same, tried to make a few posts but not worked.

don’t like this new forum. A few months in and can’t get used to it. Not as easy on the eye and stuff still doesn’t seem to work. Can we go back to the old one please?

I think we will win by 20-30 points on Sunday , but we do need to find a couple of big forwards from somewhere for when we play the bigger teams.

I don’t know if it’s apathy or not, but there does seem to be a lot less people posting on this new board. I always get on it straightaway, but between me putting a post on at 8-00 on Thursday night and about 2-00 yesterday afternoon there was just 2 posts.

Why the apathy?

And Denis's wise words come back to haunt us. To be fair, a part-time first team which so far has inspired about as much confidence as the Widnes sides of the Bernard Long era might have something to do with it. Fans need to feel they're on a journey with the team, and this year (so far - early days I know) it doesn't feel that way.

Mid Table Champo, trying to get Top 5 is the reality, but not exciting.....

Club have to be careful that they sell this as the first step of a building process and that it doesn't become the new normal.

Looks like Joe Edge in the centre and Callum Wood making his first team debut off the bench based on the players in the squad who turned out for the reserves today.

Forum is dying a slow death. Not many posts or posters, no banter or laughs and the appearance and layout of the board is'nt appealing.
