This Good Friday sees us back at the DCBL Stadium as we take on high flying Leigh Centurions in the first of two consecutive home games.
We will be looking to get back to winning ways following a number of below-par performances in the league. We will go into the game with four wins out of our opening seven league games, and the Leigh Centurions have won six out of seven with their only loss coming against fellow promotion hopefuls Featherstone Rovers in Round Two.
Fullback and captain Jack Owens will undergo knee surgery in the coming weeks after struggling to overcome an ongoing issue which will see him sidelined for the next eight weeks.
Halfback Danny Craven has suffered a setback on his return to action and has been for a further scan which showed a grade 3 tear in his calf which has an estimated return of around six weeks, symptom depending.
Tyler Dupree has returned to some light running but will miss the clash against the Centurions as he recovers from a hamstring problem, he will be available for selection for our trip to Featherstone in Round Ten.
Loose forward Aaron Brown is getting over a toe injury sustained in training and will be looking to get back onto the field when we entertain Batley Bulldogs on Sunday 24 April.
Ollie Brookes has returned to running on the field but will not be available for at least the next couple of weeks, aiming to be available for the Featherstone game.
Jake Spedding suffered an ankle injury in the fixture at Newcastle Thunder which he will have scanned in the coming weeks to determine how long he will be out of action. A further update will be given in due course.
Shane Grady and Levy Nzoungou are also on track with their recovery from their respective injuries.
Ramon Silva has arrived this week on an initial two-week loan from Wigan Warriors to bolster the squad ahead of the game.
We will need your support for the clash against Leigh on Friday, and you can buy tickets via the button below.
Anyone got a spare pair of boots might get a game this Friday👍👍
Well those calling for Roby to replace Owens at full back will get their wish. I guess he will be busy on Friday!
FFS
Not sure the creativity situation is going to be improving any time soon then...

Its a good job we have someone of his talent Frank that can step in to the position. Feel like this is going to be a long afternoon, just hope the weathers nice 🤣 🤣

Hope the weather is decent at half time don't want to get wet on the way to the Bowler
Team along the lines of Roby, Ince, Fleming, Tyrer, Holroyd, Smith, Lyons, Farnworth, Fozard, Doro, Wilde, Davies, Baker. Subs Hulme, Lawton, Silva, Tilleke
Other options are Edge instead of Holroyd, Bent instead of either Tilleke or Hulme or Gregory instead of Hulme. Can't really see much else there. No more fit players to pick from. I think that team would be fine against a bottom half side but can't see it getting much change out of Leigh.Hope I'm wrong.
If all the 3/4s were fit, Ince, Tyrer and Fleming would probably play so we can't say we are that short in that department really. Obviously Craven is a massive loss and Smith and Lyons really need to start creating more in attack.
For me, its about the form of the backs, not just the depth.
Would like to see Edge play (did fine earlier in the season) and also Brookes get a run when fit.
as much as Hatton is one of the better ones who have left I wish we would get away from continuously re signing our old players when things don’t work out there way maybe a small part of our problem is continuously looking back and giving people second chances
Maybe we should try and get Jayden Hatton back.
Yes - a great idea, James. He is streets ahead of any other winger we have, and can also stand in as a centre.
He didn't leave us because of any fall out with anyone, he just wanted a chance at full time rugby and was let down badly by his choice of new club.
Sorry, spelly, but I'd like him back....

That is known as the Finney syndrome. Agree 100% it shows a real lack of direction and shows that knowledge of championship players is zero.
Agree. Lawton, Tyrer, Owens,Ince, Grady. All brought back to see out their careers here.
