The Dupree situation highlights the dilemma that a club like ours has. We obviously want to bring in good players but if they are immediately seen to be too good then they will very quickly snapped up by bigger, wealthier clubs. Trying to find superior players clearly compromises any long term planning that the coach may have in mind as better players will be quickly gone. So we are constantly looking out for decent, but not outstanding, Championship level performers who will do a solid job for us without being good enough to alert SL teams. These limitations make recruitment difficult and certainly compromise any genuine sense of ambition that we might once have had. We’re stuck in a grim cycle.

He then stated that he was going to turn Joe into a star turn. That's why  like  A C should never be anywhere  near our club.
I think Coleman would have been dismissed at the end of last season only for the club awarding a contract extension in May.I said at the time it was too early in the season and would be better waiting to see how results pan out.Finishing seventh in the second division with just four home wins now appears to be a reward of mediocrity.

Coleman does not rate Joe. I had it from a very good source and that is why he brought Patton in. Last year he was supposed to looking for a running 6, but has ended up with Abdul.

If Halifax can get an Australian halfback, why can't we?

Well without Gilmore, Lawton, possibly mcwhirter and others we will struggle - I live in hope as they have to gel yet

Loaning players out is progress compared to last year, surely? Last year's lot all disappeared without playing for anyone.
