It's a start.

If we can replicate this in the concourse bars then that would be better. I'd be happy to ditch my pre-post game beers in Leggies if the club was getting a cut. You could then have things going on inside the concourse; old games on TV, players mingling, stuff for kids to do, bit of live music. Things that won't cost the earth but provide an improvement to the total non-event that is a home game day at the moment. Need HBC to agree first obviously.

A clear step in the right direction. Good news.

We discussed this on here the other week, sounds great but isn't worth a lot to the club.

If a pint is £5 in the Bridge Suite, (having never bought a pint at the stadium i'm just guesstimating), and we get 25% of profits, then if they sell 500 pints after the match then it's worth about £310 a game.

It's hardly a game changer.

Can you point me in the direction of the people that 'laughed on here'?  Can't recall anyone laughing at the thought of the club making money out of selling refreshments?

Its stating the blooming obvious but the deal will also include hot drinks, snacks and food (when available).

Still not worth a fortune but every little helps.

If I read the original correctly it’s for ALL functions not just match days so could be a game changer in terms of monies during and out of season

Sorry the above post is all over the place😂😂 the middle but is what I intended to say

its for all functions at the Bridge suite

Head of Operations Chris Hamilton said: “The Board and the Council have reached this new agreement which will mean that he club will not only get part of the profits on post match bar takings in the Bridge Suite on match days, but also on any functions and events that the club puts on in the future. It is another step forward for us and underlines the new spirit of co-operation that exists between both parties.

It's not for all functions, only functions organised by the club, so probably just the Season Launch and End Of Season Awards.

We won't get anything from random weddings, funerals, bar mitzvahs, etc.

Nobody is going to give up pre match drinks elsewhere to drink warm bottled lager in the ground. We are one of the few clubs that do not offer draught ale in the ground til then it will never happen.

The only bottles thing was brought about by the demise of the social club/sports bar.

While the bar was open during the week they could transfer the part kegs back from the concourse bar and sell them during the week.

Once the bar closed down then they could be stuck with around a dozen part used kegs for up to three or four weeks and, once you add gas into the keg to pressure it, the beer wouldn't be tasting like it should.

Unfortunately until they open a midweek bar again then nothing will change.

Was the small bar that just served Coors a council thing ? If not they should bring it back either with Coors or any half decent draught beer
