You are been to kind to the players by letting them off the hook by merely stipulating “they are not good enough”. There are players in that team who are good enough and yet their effort has been the equivalent as school girls trying to play tag rugby.

Smith and Craven have been appalling, Smith is arguably the biggest name in the division and yet he comprehensively overweight and totally inept.

No team should be losing a second half 38-0, and this Widnes team are losing due to effort not ability.

And btw, look at Smiths reaction to our third try, players around him were going over to celebrate with our players he just turned his back. He is clearly not happy nor has he bought into our club.

The hooker situation has been the biggest issue all year. To have a squad with only one hooker is a big mistake. Even if Callum Wood had stayed, instead of going to North Wales, that would have at least enabled a hooker by trade to help lead the team around.

The squad is lopsided with backs over forwards; not helped of course by the injuries to Cook and Jewitt.

There were quite a few rookies that were thrown in at the deep end.

It would be nice to see how a settled team might do.

The ability in the squad is higher than results would suggest; but the proof is in the pudding I suppose.

We can only go off what we’ve seen, an it doesn’t look too promising does it

So you are basically saying that Batley and Dews have better squads than us? You can’t say this team is poor compared to Fev, Toulouse, London etc but the team sheet in the last two games contained better players than the opposition and certainly wasn’t weak enough to justify the scorelines in the last 2 seasons.

They must be saving themselves for Wembley haha

We have not played as a team all games so far, including our wins

no established hooker, which apparently was known before season start

spirit needs to improve - is it Smith dragging it down ? His attitude is not of an England international

but as we know we have a small squad - no craven for 2 weeks which does not help
results in this league have been interesting - sheff going down last week, maybe a point at Newcastle isn’t that bad, even though we threw that game away

think top 2 will be Toulouse and fev, reckon the rest will be a lottery
